Semi-OT: I THINK we'll trade for Mike Miller tomorrow...

Post#1 » by Serge28 » Thu Feb 21, 2008 6:49 am

Don't ask me why, but I have a very strong feeling that Mike Miller will be traded tomorrow and that it will be to Milwaukee. I guess we'll see. :)

I doubt Memphis would do it but that would be awesome on many levels.

i could see something like that but expanded to include Cardinal so like:

Brian Cardinal/Mike Miller/Hakim Warrick for Bobby Simmons/Jake Voskuhl/Charlie Villanueva/Michael Ruffin

Maybe a Ivey/2nd rounder for Lowry??

This way they get a young athletic pf and clear a little cap space and take on a player that can help them a little id give them a 2nd rounder or two to help with it going through...i would love to include lowry as well somehow.

Memphis laughs off that. The point of trading Cardinal would be to clear salary not to take on more in Simmons.

i realize that but simmons and cardinal are up in the same year and i feel like simmons can help them more than cardinal plus w. voskuhl and ruffin they clear almost 4 million off the books after this year

Simmons helps them how? They're trying to clear salary and get younger to rebuild. Simmons does not help that in any way, shape or form.

They might bite on a:
Mason
Voskuhl
Villanueva
for
Miller
Lowry

They clear a butt load of salary in miller as well as gaining a true four man to put next to Darko. Lowry is most likely the odd man out there with Critt and Conley at the point.

Perhaps something along the lines of (Trade ID #4532025)

Charlie Villanueva
Desmond Mason
Jake Voskuhl
Michael Ruffin

for

Mike Miller
Brian Cardinal

Memphis gets rid of longer contracts in Miller and Cardinal, gets 2 expiring ones in Jake and Ruffin, as well as an exciting high-flier in Mason and a young PF with potential in Charlie V.

I think this one would be the most realistic and would be great to add a legit SF to our team. Only problem is that we would have to be in luxury tax land soon wouldn't we?

True, but with all the money generated by Yi's drafting, perhaps Kohl would be more willing to open up his pockets in order to get better as well as pave the road for Yi to move back into the starting lineup. Besides, Charlie V is up for an extension this summer and he'll probably demand quite a bit of money, so...

The Grizz owner wants to unload big contracts and its possible Mike Miller is next to go. I doubt the Bucks are in the running to get him because although they have picks to trade with, they don
