I still think Mo should leave, but I'm cool with him staying another year, but when this team alters the roster and gets a nice PF we need somebody new.

It wasn't exactly the same squad. They had a full season of Webber (debate as you will the pros or cons of this) and Sammy (one of the main reasons they were competitive against the Pistons) missed 20 games, much in the beginning of the year, and never quite got going that year.

And going from 43-39 to 38-44 isn't a drastic decline considering other teams got better, etc.

That was my point as well. It's easy to make bold statements when you oversimplify everything. The NBA and the game of basketball are a lot more complex than numbers and outcomes.

In my opinion it's rarely as good or as bad as the numbers make it look. A little moderation goes a long way.
