I was reading the Sacramento Bee this evening. The reporter said that the spurs had been spreading false rumour to throw people off. And I think that ddb was a part of that.

well, from a local San Antonio report (Don Harris/WOAI) it was the Kings who backed out, they wanted more for Artest, two deals were on the table for Artest from the Spurs.

I wouldn't look too far into it. I simply share info that i can share. I would rather not share with you who my sources are, what i do, or where i'm from. that doesn't really matter. this is an NBA board with the basis of discussing NBA matters. I'll happily continue to share the things I'm able to share as long as people mind their own business and take it for what it is......
If you have an issue then i'll just stop contributing to this board and i'll instead discuss these things with my friends, co-workers, and colleagues. Only reason i started sharing stuff to begin with is because i wanted to cheer everybody up with KG news after what was one of the darkest days in Boston sports (draft lottery). it created good conversation so i told Darth that i would happily share some of the stuff i knew as long as we stuck to the nba talk and nothing more.

cool? not cool? it's your call.
it's not like I come on here to make-up false rumors. why would i ever do that? I think my track record speaks for itself.
I'm like 7 for 9. maybe once or twice I shared info that turned out to be just speculation.

I was saying "WTF?" to John Locke as in, no ****ing way you'd be doing that. Please don't let the crackheads bother you ddb. It's really cool that you give everyone a little insider info now and then. You've already proven with the KG thing that you're someone who can be trusted and appreciated, and there's no need for anyone to be doubting you personally or demanding links or the names of sources or your personal data or whatever. Sorry.

good work ddb, I'm hearing stuff in Australia as quickly (or more quickly in this case) then the media in the USA.

Not only did they trade a solid post defender (along with 2 1st rounders) that they could certainly use in Kurt Thomas, but now they see him get dealt to the team that they need to get past to win a title.

How is that for a move by Seattle, though? They get half a season of Kurt Thomas and 3 1st round picks for nothing.

Right.

To look at it another way, Phoenix could right now have 3 more picks, Barry, and Elson.
