i hope the part about kobe didnt pass, but basically ( i dont remember it all just i had just woken up and heart the last bit) they were talking about why people think a certain way about kobe or something. Greeney would bring up how he waived off malone in the '98 all star game so he could go one on one vs jordan and he said thats not respectful. Bucher would say you gotta understand the kid wanted to be the best. He didnt handle it right but you cant fault the intention. He wanted to the best since he was 18 and that was very tough coming to a team of veterans like the lakers back then. He said some of the vets "gave him hell" because they were like "who is this kid coming in here with all these ambitions to be great" and greeney pressd him for names so bucher just tried to name the vets and let the viewer figure it out, he names "van excel (first name), shaq, and ron harper"
there was so much more he said, but i had just woken up in the later stages of it and im sure there was more said that was very intersting and telling about young kobe bean...

the whole time Ric has pretty much been the Lakers and Kobe major props, saying the Jazz are dark horse contenders, Suns don't have enough.
something interesting he talked about was the Spurs last season. they weren't necessarily the best team in the nba, they were just the last great team standing. saying PHX should have won and dallas was up there along w/detroit. any one of those teams could have won.
this year he's picking the lakers or jazz to win it all.
he's not so douchebag-ish when he's not reporting a trade or rumor (which he is horrible at). he must know we don't take him seriously when it comes to trade talk, etc.
it's been interesting though.

Actually Bucher is sensible except for the Kobe drama... But then he was feeding off Kobe's emotions then and when he said Kobe will not be in a Laker uniform --> I think Kobe really meant it that time.
He's Kobe's boy though.. since Kobe is happy with the Lakers, then he gives Lakers major props...
I always liked Bucher!
Do it Mitch!
