With all the blah-blah about the name guys, and their roles in this loss, backup SG was the key reason.

Bogans went 3-12 for 11 points; Delfino went 7-11 for 23 points. That 12 point differential was essentially the reason the Magic were blown out.

I read the last few pages of this thread and the game thread on the Raps board, and assumed Bosh and the Raps dominated Dwight.

Then I looked at the box score and saw he had 37/15. WTF?

Clearly both Bosh and Howard both had horrible defensive games for one on one. But Howard was a better team defender given the rebounding edge. They were a push to the end result of the game. As for that matter were all starters. Toronto won because their bench dominated.

Better team defender? Because of 5 defensive rebounds? He was pretty horrible on defense.

80% of points Howard got where on missed shots or rebounds, it is not like he was going at Bosh and could not be stopped. That was the case on the other end of the floor, Bosh went at Howard and took him to school.

eh id rather have the win, but head to head 37/15 > 40/5

Is this not the argument for the Raptor bigs being absolutely stinky-smelly on defense???

Howard did a great job of padding his stats when orlando was behind 20. Bosh took the game over in the 2nd Q and thats when the game was won. Howard was still padding his stats at the end of the game when Bosh was on the bench resting lol
Appel:
Bargs will be an all-star while Bosh averages 10/6 in Miami

you win some, you lose some. At least he didnt give up. And now the season series is tied. Will be an interesting game in a couple of weeks. But head to head matchups don't mean much. Hell, the Magic have won 2 of 3 vs the Celtics and I wouldn't say the Magic are the better team. the Magic have even split the season series with the Pistons 2-2 and I would still say Detroit is the better team.

So take the Toronto loss for what its worth, a regular season loss with no significant implications.

No, thats an argument for Raptors being a bad rebounding team.
