A vet like who? Someone who could actually contribute and possibly start, or just a role player?

Do you know if Carney has been included in any discussions?

Even if it went nowhere, do you know if Carney's name was ever mentioned as a possible trade chip?

I think Sixersfan has said the only players that Ed has not talked about in trades are LouWill, Dre, Sammy, Iggy, and Thad.

Miami's looking to move Marion? He can only be moved in a 1 for 1 deal right? Or am I confused about the rule?

When asked what trade possibilities were left today, Rick Bucher said "drips and drabs" this morning on the Mike & Mike show. Role players, no big names.

He reported that Delonte West will change teams.... Does anyone have interest in West? I do. WG is the only pure SG on this roster and I think Delonte is better. I'd swap Carney + change for him. Get it done, Ed!

My understanding is that he must be moved by himself, but that he can bring multiple players back in return...

Somebody else can confirm, but I'm pretty sure the way it works is that Miami can only send out Marion, but they can take in multiple players.

If he is in fact available, I'd definitely talk to them, though it's difficult to make a deal work financially as the biggest expiring contract the Sixers have (giricek) can't yet be traded.

SEA it an interesting team to watch today, they have a lot of young players that the new GM doesn't seem to have any interest in developing... I would trade Willie Green for West/Petro in a heart beat...

I just read the update from Marc Stein:
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/s ... alk-080221

Apparently Sacramento has backed down from the Artest deal, I wonder if we couldn't lowball into a deal at this point.

Also, Nene is apparently up for grabs, I know the injury history here, but the upside would be huge. Not to mention he plays well in an uptempo style (when he does actually play).

It's not only the injury history, it's the large contract and the new cancer issue...

Trade Iguodala+Lou Williams+Willie Green for a player with some REAL talent.

if we had a really bad contract, like a brian cardinal, I would offer than and an expiring for nene, but the worst contracts he have are prob daly, who I wouldnt trade for nene, willie green because of length but doesnt make enough to trade for nene and reggie evans, who liklewise isnt enough.

Boo-Yah! I tell ya... for someone who's belonged to this board longer than me... this Johnny guy is a breath of fresh air.

I'm wondering what Miami is trying to get back for Marion. We don't have anything that makes sense for them but it'll be interesting if he gets moved again.

If Miami really is shopping Marion I think Ed should rethink his not trading Miller stance. Miller, Ollie & Green would work numbers wise...I think Marion would be worth it. The Sixers would be one of fastest teams in the league with him.
