if that happens LEBRON SMASH!!!!!!!!!!! seriously he will be pissed.
as for us let's see. Miller is staying. Green should go but yeah who wants him ( IMO Seatle could be a possible place for him, I've heard that they want a scorer............it would be for west but I don't think it matches up.) Evans could be moved for exprirings to orlando but it's not likely. and anyone else is a surprize but hey we didn't know we were getting Webber until it happened. so hey keep your chins up guys.
also can someone post all of the rumoured deals for other teams......thanks.

Ryan (Grand Falls, NL ): Are the Sixers going to do anything or will they stand pat?
Chad Ford: (1:57 PM ET ) I'm surprised they haven't been more willing to move Andre Miller. As it stands now the best case scenario has the Sixers somewhere around $10 million under the cap. That won't lure away the Elton Brand's and Gilbert Arenas type players.

That's Awesome PT21! Nice job!
And btw, I agree with Ford, but disagree in the sense that I do NOT think the Sixers are going to target Arenas/Brand. I agree that we need more space to try and sign J-Smoove or Okafor.
Thanks SF for your info, but honestly, do you think the Sixers can build a championship caliber team around Daly/Miller/Iggy/Thad? They need a SG who can SHOOT, and Iggy is not that. And if he is a SF, then Thad is a PF, which I think he is out of position there. So, what kind of player do they want? IF they truly want a tough, interior PF, then does Thad move to the bench, or do they keep him as a starter with Iggy out of position and nobody to shoot the ball on the floor???
That is why I'm not all opposed to trading Iggy for a SG.

I like Miller as a player but I hope keeping him doesn't prevent them from getting Brand this offseason.
That would be a HUGE mistake.

Well, the Sixers do have some extra future picks and could conceivably use one of those and/or Carney to convince somebody under the cap to take on Green for essentially a trade exception.
I'd prefer not to give up assets in that manner, but that is one possibility to get an extra 3-5 million this summer even if no moves are made right now.
Anyway, whatever.

If so many teams have got great scoring SGs, doesn't it make it important to have one on our team that can defend pretty well?
I think it's very possible to trade Iggy for a better shooter/scorer, but I think we'd be hard-pressed to get somebody who is a better scorer AND who isn't a liability on defense.
I think what needs to be focused on is figuring out a way to add that PF that could help give Iggy and all of the other players better looks.

You know it's sad but I would be happy just to release Shav and sign Justin Williams. A small move like this would be enough to keep my quiet until Summer when we can target Okafor or Smith...
Looks like Cuban is interested too. Dale Davis' name also came up. Wonder how he would do here as a stopgap at the 4.

"If somebody gets cut or there's a trade, a guy like [recently waived] Justin Williams at Sacramento, who is kind of like where DeSagana was a couple years ago, we'll take a look," Cuban said

Here's an example of the type of trade I want Ed to make
Hornets sent:
G Bobby Jackson
Rockets sent:
G/F Bonzi Wells
G Mike James.
This trade was a HUGE steal for New Orleans. Basically getting Bonzi Wells for free and deepening their roster. A small trade goes a big way. -_-, if only Ed realized we're not title contenders or half way close.

It would help to clear another 3-4 mil from the cap to better position us for this summer (ironically, just what WG makes)- but it is not essential.
Most likely anyone we get will be through a trade- even the teams with RFA's can force a ttrade by threatening to match. In a trade we can use the 10M as a trade exception + other players/assets to sweeten the deal and get the salary up above 10M. For example, we could send the Clippers a 10M trade exemption, our #1, Carney and Evans in a sign and trade that would pay Brand 16M starting next year.

Not essential? Maybe not if Memphis is the only team in cap space. But Memphis has a better overall outlook.
They have 2 young PGS In Conley/Critteton. A potential AS in Rudy Gay and a 3pt shooting Mike Miller. Which is why, I've said again that a trade to make us a bit better is good in the eyes of a FA.
