Funny you said that. I was thinking when will LF get on Ellis' defensive(Jamison like) effort. Great offensively, clueless defensively.

The best part of this win for me was seeing an inspired home court performance. Haven't been enough of those.

i just watched the whole game again and i'm really surprised at how well webber played KG tonight. he really played a good post d.

I don't get why people are bagging Tay... because he gave an exceptional shooter a little bit of daylight? You put him on a SG that doesnt have an amazing quick, accurate release and Tay would have looked like a great defender....

If we're talking setups to fail, how about putting Baron on Rondo and Tay on Allen? The instant Nellie switched off of that stupid crap, we started catching Boston and Ray became a non factor.... when Baron/Barnes were on Allen, and Webber was off the court, the screens didn't work so well anymore...

Take the 4th Q as an example, Allen's last 3. Big Baby / Powe set double screens on Barnes. Harrington saw Allen was going baseline under the hoop, so he allowed Barnes to recover there and kept guarding Big Baby. Then Powe (guarded by Biedrins) set a 2nd screen on the opposite low post on Barnes... Dre recognizes it and tried to seal out on Ray Allen.. he was almost right in Ray's face as Ray buried a 3.

That happened a handful of times to Monta.... so if they ran a bunch of those double screens down low, would that make Biedrins our worst defender too? or Barnes?

It's become trendy to pick on Tay's D... but people aren't watching the entire play, only the end

I hope we're both wrong about it... but I agree... even when evidence hits him in the face like it did last nite, our wagon reads "Smallball" and I dont think its going to change w/o a new coach.

But i had NO IDEA we wouldn't be able to stop Ellis. He's as fast as Rondo on our team and as good of a penetrator as Tony Allen on our team it was scary for an opposing fan to watch.

Never really knew this till tonight. Don't worry about his defense you can hide him agaisnt most PGs like Rondo on our team. And his speed will let him do okay against guys like Tony Parker. Man's a game changer.

What were some of the highlight points the Celts announcers were making?

I thought your guys played us hard. No team has put that much ball pressure on us all year. We made some adjustments at half time that helped off set that. When the game was in the balance, I still thought that was the best game of the year, win or lose.

The NO was great, too. But, we had to chuck our way to victory. Winning the old fashioned way is much more satisfying.

I second that. The Dubs, nor Monta have faced such fierce defense this year. Monta stepped up to the challenge though. Those dishes to AB were outstanding. Would love to see more of that for the next 10 years.

I heard a story today that said someone who knows Beans said that he cares more about loyalty than he does about squeezing the last penny out of a potential deal. and that he'll quickly sign the extension.

Now I heard this at WW so take it for what it's worth. But I tend to agree.

Monta's a different character. I think he'd really like to be closer to Sippi. It's gonna take major dough to keep him out west.

Either way I sign both, because if you ever want to get max value out of them in a trade, they need to be making big coin.

you know i would have to say this one beat those two and even the 2nd win over the spurs because we did it without jack. the way the c's pressured monta it made me really nervous, but the dubs really stepped it up. if jack had played then i'd agree with you, but without jack, this one has to top those.

There was 0.3 seconds left in the game after Baron's shot. How hilarious would that have been if the Celtics made a shot all the way from full court to win the game.

i agree...Webber is slowly getting his game back. i expect it in full stride late March to help us push to the playoffs.

anyone a fan of Tim Kawakami?? he said Webber was the reason the Celts score 9 the start the game and that he did a terrible job on KG (and kept mentioning KG was hurt, he wasnt himself, he scored 4 points last night, and kept referring to hte one play where Powe took it in on Webber and dunked.)...his point of view is annoying....enough of that bastard (bastard borrowed from the book of Nellie)

Scalabrine not playing, gave us a chance. Homeboy schools us night in and night out. Glen Davis...is fat. Rondo looks like earthworm Jim. Ray Allen was a beast.

Baron needed the last second shot to fall...his ego was a bit on the downward spiral, but now its back to par. (All-star snub, poor fg % lately, Monta taking the game over)
