Wally is gone

WALLY's GONE

Dumped his contract and brought back expirings and Marshall who has one year left and $5.5 Million next year. Well it's not confirmed but I am extremely happy with it!

If it's Simmons, I find this intriguing.

I've been out of it for a while now. I guess we're past the days when Duhon was considered a potentially credible starting point guard in this league?

I was hoping we'd get in on the Kyle Lowry sweepstakes to address the PG position (maybe in a deal involving Wilcox)... oh well.

Wally and Delonte, we hardly knew ye. And frankly, Delonte, you didn't make as much of an impression as I had hoped.

yeah if it's Griffin I'm not a fan of this deal unless we're getting picks back. We hardly shed salary at all if it's griffin.

Well Brown is not to bad, I saw him a few times at teh start of the year and he looked OK. We have a big hole at the SG position he'll see some minutes.

With no Duhon though looks like Watson and Ridnour are both staying. I'm not sure if I'm ahppy about that or sad.

Yuck!!!

Now there must be at least a pick coming to Seattle, cause that's an extra year($1.7 mil) we're taking on here.

If we get Duhon I'm really happy with this because we can focus on drafting a SG which is the strongest position in this draft. If not I'm completely confused on why we do this. In fact, screw that.

I hate this trade. We basically have no scoring now off the bench. Marshall is washed up and wtf with griffin and newble. we better get a pick back in this deal or we are getting raped.

We need to get a pick back in this deal. We arent getting enough back in return. Give Chicago a 2nd rounder and try to get Duhon, give them Gelabale too.

How can we ask for a draft pick when Cleveland are doing us a favour by taking on Wally's contract. Phoenix gave us 2 1st round picks to take KT because we did them a favour.

We'll have to keep Marshall until next season (almost $6M) but the rest will be gone after this year. That is a good thing IMO.

Wait...

Wally got 2008-09 @ $13.27 million; Delonte has 2008-09 @ 2.7 million

Griffin is $1.7 non-guaranteed; Newble and Brown are off the books in 08-09; and Donyell is due $5.9.

Am I missing something or did we trade $15 million in 08-09 for $6 million?

Are we getting Brown?

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! I hope he gets a chance to prove himself, we shouldn't look at this guy just as an expiring. HE CAN BALL.

So much for Presti's run as a capable GM...

This could be worth something if we were actually willing to make a run in FA but we all know that won't happen. So we save $9 mil next year but lose a young, cheap guard and what will be a HUGE expiring next year?

The $9 mil is nice but we can all be pissed about this sometime next year when somebody is rebuilding and wants to trade their young superstar for expirings and picks, which would could have been the definition of...

Not really, as West would have had to sign his QO, to make those 2.7 million. Oh, and now we'll hardly have any offense off the bench.

BTW: Our rotation should be:

PG: Watson, Ridnour
SG: Durant, Gelabale
SF: Green, Wilkins
PF: Wilcox, Collison
C: Petro, Swift

Looks like Durant has got to score at least 30 from now on, if we want to win a ball game.
