Juan Dixon has been traded by the Toronto Raptors , but he still doesn't know where his final destination will be.
It will be a one-for-one deal with some cash likely involved.

Dixon, 29, averaged 4.3 points and 11.8 minutes in 36 games for the Raptors this season.

I'm guessing that's how low Wallace's value was. I don't think anybody wanted his contract, and considering he's older, putting up some of the worst numbers of his career, and had some personal issues with his team, Larry Hughes might have been the best return Chicago could get.
True, the Bulls have a lot of guards, but at this point, I think Paxon wanted to get the best deal available for Wallace (before his value declined even further), as well as having some insurance in case Gordon and/or Deng leave (remember, neither got a contract extension).
Remember the Bulls also get Drew Gooden, who's still perfectly capable of a double-double every night. Also, the departure of Ben Wallace and Joe Smith creates opportunities for Noah and Tyrus Thomas.
I'm not sure if the Bulls are going to push for that eight spot in the playoffs, or just call it a season. I'm curious to see what's going to happen. No doubt their season has been a disappointment, Paxon's decision on Wallace was a massive failure, and the inability to negotiate extensions for Deng and Gordon has been a factor.
As a result, everything is a mess. Paxon has a lot of work to do.

The Nuggets Thursday passed on making a big splash at the NBA trading deadline, instead sending reserve guard Von Wafer to Portland for rookie point guard Taurean Green.
Green, 6-foot, 183 pounds, helped lead Florida to NCAA championships the past two years. In Portland, he's played in eight games this season, averaging 5.5 minutes. He saw action in four games for the Idaho Stampede of the D-League, averaging 19.3 ppg, 9.8 apg and 5.3 rpg.
The rookie point guard was the 52nd overall pick of the 2007 NBA Draft after his junior season at Florida.
Wafer appeared in 21 games for the Nuggets this season, averaging 1.3 ppg.
The trading deadline was at 1 p.m. Thursday.
The Nuggets were not willing to part with forward Linas Kleiza in a trade for veteran Ron Artest of Sacramento.

I think having a lockdown defender on the perimeter would be best for them. Doesn't necessarily have to be on Artest's level of defense, though.
Denver need a PG and they need one pretty bad if they want to get better in the playoffs. Neither Melo nor AI can set up an offense if they do have one and going Isos all game long won't get you anywhere.
