Cavs did well. Good upgrade moves to be serious in the playoffs. I'm glad some Eastern teams are making moves too ... with all the news centered in the west, it was starting to feel like the NBA boondocks, here in the East.

Bulls took a big load of hot garbage. If Skiles was still there ... I can imagine he's walking out on the team in disgust after the first game.

Cavs took on some bad contracts if im not mistaken, Wally is not impressive, Ben is washed up IMO, Delonte is servicable at best, and joe smith is probably the only decent player that they got as far as being a servicable big.

Still, i'm sure that will be enough for Lebron to wage war against Boston/Pistons. he beat Detroit by himself last year for god's sake, the kid is a beast!!!

I honestly don't like the Wallace and Sczerbiak signings. I think Joe Smith and Delonte West will help them more. Detroit or Boston will win the East.

surround lebron w/shooters at 4 spots (big Z, joe smith, wally, boobie) and let king james slash and score or drive and dish... gonna be tough to beat .... ben wallace can still defend a little too... clevland can legitimately play w/boston and detroit now

The main reason that this deal went down was so Lebron can't complain and say Cleveland didn't do anything IMO.

Bad trade Drew Gooden > Ben Wallace

Now the CAVs stuck with Ben's big contract !!!!

bad move.

its a C move for both teams

I can't believe somebody really took Wallace of Chicagos hands . This guy played horrible the whole season .

He got burned almost every game on defese or rebunding , i can't see that changing much . Not to forget his awful offensive game .

I don't know why everyone is going off on the fact that CLE took Wallace's contract. Hughes' deal is just as bad and as long.

Bottom line is, contract issues asside, Cleveland is improved. Lebron has more offensive help now with Wally World, Joe Smith and Delonte West. Ben will stilll bring his rebounding and block shots to Cleveland. I think one thing people forget is that Big Z is still in Cleveland. He should more then make up for what Ben lacks down low offensively. Besides, Cleveland has plenty of scorers now. They need people like Ben, people like Varejao to concentrate down low on rebounding, taking charges, bringing in energy and playing defense.

Even if that's the case, Wally, West, Smith >> Gooden and Marshall.
