man, what is up with everyone wanting Diop? LOL.

I think he's gonna be a guy Frank falls in love with. He may not re-sign with us though, depends on how the rest of the season goes.

If that is the case, then Yeah I would trade him for expiring and a pick.

But is that possible since we just got him?

Hopefully we can sign Diop for a reasonable fee.

Marv and Mark were talking about Diop spending his off season in Cherry Hill NJ,

So maybe being closer to home will be an advantage for us Nets.

I've always liked Diop too. But now we'll never see the stro show. he's basically injured reserve now.

3 games after the trade, what do you guys think? Are you still keeping him?

I don't think he's a difference maker. At least not more so than any of our other bigs. I couldn't care less if we didn't sign him this summer.

I think he's going to help us," team president Rod Thorn said of Diop. "He's got a defensive presence, he's athletic, blocks shots, gets rebounds. I think he's a good player. He is someone we will look to re-sign. We like what we see."

I say we keep him, from seeing his play last year against top level competition and from little things i notice with his limited time with us the guy is a keeper if you ask me

Might I ask what? I see stupid fouls every single time this guy is on the court. The funny thing I see in him is that he looks annoyed and rolls his eyes when Frank tries to tell him something.

I think he's a difference maker. I was watchin his second game. He comes in and starts blocking shots and grabbing loose balls. His arms are down to his ankles so him just being around is a difference.

Fire frank. Noone respects him.

We have Sean to do this already. Diop also can't cover the guys that get beat from the perimeter. Last night, guys like Hedo and Evans were killing us once they found a way to drive in.

He's not as athletic and agile as sean but he can still block shots. Diop only also played only 9 minutes last night. I couldn't watch the game last night but last I saw, he was blocking shots just by putting his arm up. Maybe last night is just a testimony to Boone's inability to guard the basket. Nachbar also spends a lot of time as a PF. No wonder guys are just strolling in there.

he's better than Mags/Collins...a guy you like to keep to guard big physical PFs/C....but I want Sean on the court more...

We all want sean on the floor more. But even if Frank was willing to, he's not helping himself by giving 5 fouls in 12 minutes. I would be fine with it if those fouls came from blocking shots, but they come unnecessarily.

Diop's skill set is better used against the Western bigs like Duncan, Shaq, Yao, the entire Denver team, etc. Except for maybe Big Z, I don't know if he would be fully utalized in the East.
