AWESOME!!
Well Nash is old and his game is starting fall off, Shaq should have retired 2 years ago. And with Grant Hills age and injury history. Plus Amares already had microfracture surgery, you never know when he might become Antonio McDyess. Diaw overpaid and fat, Barbosa is the only positive sure thing for thier future.
It could easily be a lottery pick. It's a major "might be" but still there's a very good chance of it.

I agree. Both the Spurs and Suns will be contending teams in 2009 (Spurs) and 2010 (Suns).
Especially the Spurs. As I mentioned above, one of their big three will be in his prime (Parker) the others (Duncan and Ginobili) will be in their early 30s. (32 and 31), they'll add Tiago Splitter, who is an upgrade over Oberto and Elson (geez he's a Sonic).
The Suns will have a beast in the middle in Amare and Nash will be good enough to have an impact. It should not be a problem to replace guys like Bell and Hill. Barbosa will have a larger role. They won't be as good as they are now, but they won't be bad enough to land us a pick above/below 18. Below the number, above the board.

Chad Ford and his big mouth sometimes... who says Orlando would've even given them a better pick?

I disagree. Seattle is an upcoming young team. Durant and Green are going to be good, but they won't win any championships in 2008 or 2009, and they'll need to have other players around them that can grow with them if they want to have a shot in 2010 and after. Kurt Thomas isn't getting better, but whoever Seattle drafts with that pick they acquired (and sure, if you want to go the tanking route, with an improved Seattle 1st this year too) probably will.
The Wally trade didn't help that much, but similar to the Thomas trade it cuts down the team's payroll, which is a good thing for the team's owner since they considering selling the whole thing. Won't help the fans unfortunately (only if Seattle gets enough capsapce and signs someone with it the next few years), but still a good trade.
Two solid trades IMO.
