OT: Xbox XNA games

Post#1 » by LISTEN2JAZZ » Thu Feb 21, 2008 11:38 pm

There are a whole bunch of free games on xbox 360, created by amateurs, called XNA. You can download them through xbox live. I found two that I think are good.

Little gamers - side scrolling fighting game. Pretty cool.

Proximity - nice puzzle game. Fun to play against somebody.

Just so you know these aren't free forever. It costs money to use the XNA studio after the free trial.

Didn't know that, and that's too bad. These aren't the type of games that I would pay money for. They seem like free shareware games. Maybe I would pay $5 for a good one.

But when the great platinum hits games are only $30, it doesn't make sense for me to pay for amateur stuff.

I have a question. My 360 finally took a dump on me. I'm planning on going to best buy and just getting the arcade 360 cuz its cheaper, and I already have the accessories from my last 360 such as the live stuff, and the hard drive. Can I use my hard drive from my old 360 on an arcade version?

XNA is also going to have support for the Zune in the future as well. I think it's great to try these games out, but like Adam said, I can't see a reason to pay money while there is better stuff on the XBLA that are inexpensive and higher quality.
