Brent Barry waived by Sonics
The Sonics waived Brent Barry to clear roster space for their part in Thursday's 11-player trade. Barry is officially a free agent and could sign with any team.

Maybe not so clearcut them. The more I think of it, the more I think he's perfect for a combo of Mike Miller+Sam Cassell - decent enough handles to play the controlled other half of the Barbosa-led second unit, but with the shot that means you can stick him in the corner in crunch time and KNOW that if a defender doubles down the post, they'll regret it

nope, he just has to be waived before March 1st. He can still be signed by the Spurs and make the playoffs, the question is, will Barry go back to SA or choose to go elsewhere.
