Do you guys think that Park can help out the rotation? I think he can be an adequate starter like a Bautista with more K ability. A move to the bullpen is more likely with the rotation set. What do you guys think?

Expensive and irrelevent.

Ahhh...and Basketball Jesus point seems valid. Why trade anything for Chan Ho Park? Is he really any better than Sean White or Julio Mateo? Keep in mind this is coming from someone who loathes Julio Mateo...

Park's success came when he pitched in a great pitcher's park, which may lead some to believe he could succeed in Safeco. I'm not so sure...his three year splits @ SafeCo reveal a 4.22 ERA in 5 games. Is that someone worth trading for?

What's the status on Putz? Still day-to-day?

I wasn't sure but he pitched the ninth inning today without any apparent difficulty...must be good to go.

The last time he was an adequate starter was 2001. Could he succeed as some kind of reclamation project? I guess, if you sign him to a minor league contract and use him when a starter gets hurt. But why not just stick with Batista? Who needs more K's?

He has a 4.22 ERA over the last three years at SafeCo...not fantastic.

Is he still working off the big old deal Texas gave him couple years ago? If so I cant see any reason to bring him in. BBJ spoke the truth hes very very marginal at a very high price.
