I'm always gonna be a bucks fan...win, lose or draw...

I can relate to the overwhelming disgust with the current situation...

But I just can't turn against a team that I love so much...

Maybe this is the low point of the franchise and we are on the brink of turning things around...

I sure hope so...for all our sanity's sake...

I supported my team for many years back home. They had a great owner businesswise, really passionate about the team, but terrible when it came to putting together a winning organisation. Year after year they stunk, missing the playoffs, barely making the playoffs. One good year they made it to the semi-finals, but then fell apart the next year. The owner had a great chance to get the most successful coach in the country, but wouldn't fork out the cash and doomed the team to many more years of mediocrity. 20-odd years of crappy play, the team was widely considered to be the biggest joke in Australian sports.

Eventually he sold the team. The new owners managed to pick up that coach soon after and the team started winning. The turnaround was amzingly fast, and the team won a championship. Threepeated, in fact.

I can only hope you guys manage to have the same turnaround we did.

LOL at another long-suffering Sydney NBL fan. My other teams are the Dragons (last time they won the lot was in 1979) and the Swans who finally won the AFL premiership in 2005 after a 73 year drought.

Editted to add that I'm obviously comfortable with losing franchises so I'll be sticking with the Bucks :)

Being a Sydney fan wasn't always all bad, remember Acie Earl? that was the highlight of my year, it was like having Shaq on the team. Anyways, I had a look at the free agency list and the Kings are f*cked for next season. It was fun while it lasted.

This is pretty much where I stand. I'm not really that pissed about the trade deadline situation because I pretty much dropped out emotionally about 2 months ago.

I'm likely done going to games this season but I'll still watch 'em. If I feel like it.

I won't follow the bucks so closely, but I may flip on the game once in a while. I just for sure won't spend any money on this franchise, that includes buying or using any products that appear during commercials of the game.

So no Brewers tickets for you this season?

I thought they were really going to do something that year (1998-99) when I watched them in a pre-season game at Hills. Earl was a space eater but unfortunately he was a massive food eater too :)
We didn't even make the playoffs.

You know Earl had a brief stint as training fodder with the Bucks a few years earlier?

My current disconnect isn't because they made no trades. I've been saying I don't trust Bucks management. That management had to change to pro quality before shuffling the roster.

It's that they're bleeding from several wounds - and all they can do is assure the fans that changes aren't needed and the status quo will be fine. Only two options there. They're in denial, and should be left alone until they face reality. Or two, they see their self-interest in lying to the public.

Either option breaks the bond of trust between fan and home team. Not forever - but for as long as it takes to bring real change.

I honestly can't see how anyone can find the Bucks entertaining. The owner sucks, the management sucks, most of the players suck and they don't even like each other. Some of you actually sound proud that you pay money to watch this team. Now I read people criticizing others for not wanting to waste their time or money on one of the worst organizations in sports?! If the best thing you can come up to do on a Friday night is watch this Bucks team then you maybe should think long and hard about ripping the guy who found something better to do because the odds are they are having a lot more fun.

Yup, there isn't anyone that should spend another dollar watching the Bucks.

Certainly if you are an NBA fan you may wish to fork over some cash to see the other teams. Denver for instance Saturday night certainly has some fun players to watch. Just remember though, for the priviledge of watching Denver, some of you cash ends up in Herb's pocket. :noway:
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

At this point, I doubt this current administration can turn things around. The entire structure, top to bottom, needs to change, and that starts with a new owner. It seems however, that the franchise is caught between a rock and a hard place. It desperately needs a fresh start, but that fresh start may end up in a new city if things keep going at the current rate.

It was a bad pick. That poor dead horse needs to be given a proper burial. Oh, and Yu-Hi-Oh! is old news, it's all about Naruto now! ;)

Next time, try contributing something to the actual conversation. Time to move on.

Mate, replace Dragons with Roosters and you have my teams. We were also long-suffering fans until 2002. Although at least we still have our own team and haven't had to merge with anyone.

I actually had King season tickets but in 1996 (I think), I got fed up with the team. Decided it wasn't worth me wasting my cash on them so I embraced pay tv and just watched the games from the luxury of my own couch. Wasn't any different to these guys getting fed up- except Mike W got the hint and sold the team. Doubt Kohl will do that anytime soon.

I realized how much I love the NBA when I went to the Marquette/Louisville game a few weeks ago. My God is college basketball painful to watch.

At least the worst team in the NBA has top fight talent to go see. There isn't one NBA team with nothing to look forward to watching.
"didnt you watch the game with the raptors?bucks is also a playoff team ,they have enough ability to find wins from dalas and utach,

Go nuts with these, no money's going to the Bucks in this situation. Plus, you're a special case. You're from Holland, which makes all of this moot.

Agreed. I was done a week ago.

I am done with this franchise...period on a soley 'Bucks' fan' basis. It is not worth my allegiance anymore and soul and spirit.

I am my own fan now...not tied to one particular team, if any! I am just tired...of being tired of having a losing, soft, excuse making mentality.

They are not worth discussing about improving anytime soon. There is not one professional worth a damn on the entire team, much less in the whole organizatioin.

Like I said if this is what they've done with it since Karl left, YOU SHOULD HAVE SOLD TO JORDAN AND BEEN DONE WITH IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!

He couldn't have done any worse then it is now! And if he moved it then you should move if you can't get out of your own way and win!

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
