Magloire Waived

Post#1 » by EastSideBucksFan » Fri Feb 22, 2008 10:38 pm

Hilarious

Guy goes from an All-Star, to traded for a first round pick, to traded for Steve Blake to can't even get more than a one year deal, to can't even stay on a team who hasn't had a center in years.

I'm willing to bet the Mavs are on the phone with him right now. They need some size real bad.

I would think the Mavs would sign him as well.
In fact, it is possible that during the Kidd trade talks, the Mavs "suggested" the Nets waive Magloire so the Mavs could sign him. Just a theorry right now. I don't have any info on that currently.

Great thought....if he does sign with the Mav's, I'd hope that Stern steps in......

There wouldn't be anything for Stern to step in over in that situation though.

we need a big man...I'm not sure how much EJ has left in the tank, so I'll have to go with Daniel Santiago.

ESPN -
Jamaal Magloire, who was waived by the Nets last week, is leaning towards joining the Mavericks, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.com.

NBA front-office sources told ESPN that Magloire is close to agreeing to terms with Dallas and that a decision could be made as early as Tuesday.

Magloire will officially clear waivers at 6 p.m. EST on Tuesday.
