Get Magloire Now!
This is a guy who can start at PF, especially for this team that is in the playoff hunt. He can come off the bench or start at the 4. He is a former All-Star and could be very useful for this team IMO. He was waived by the nets today, a team that is clearly trying to miss the playoffs and go in another direction.

I don't think he's washed up.
When he gets minutes, he produces. Plain and simple.
Look at his game log for this season and notice how when he gets over 15 minutes he averages 8 rebounds/game. When he plays less than 15, he averages significantly less. I have no idea why the Nets weren't playing him since he produced when they did. If he'll sign, I say go for it.

I completely agree. Well said, comrade.
Magloire is in fine shape. Nobody would suggest he's any kind of answer.... But I'd be happy to add him.... Stefanksi has NJ connections with him, so maybe.... But as mentioned, he will probably sign with a real contender instead.
That said, I'd support signing Justin Williams and/or Fazekas as well... None of these guys will be difference-makers.... But considering Shav and Amundson are virtually mummies on the bench, taking a flyer on a new big body certainly couldn't hurt us.

doing a quick google search on Magloire, it seems like he could be moving to Dallas soon. It makes sense considering Magloire is still pretty good and Dallas is thin at the C position now that Diop is gone. He just got outplayed by younger legs in NJ (Boone, Williams). Magloire isn't the fastest but he still has size and rebounding potential.
Two years from being two years away.
