Rockets chance of picking up recently waived Magloire

Nets just waived Jamaal Magloire today. What do you think about the Rockets picking him up?

He really, really sucks. He is negatively productive out on the court. He does nothing except turn the ball over, brick layups, and foul people. I don't want the Rockets to touch him.

Chuck Hayes hustles, Mags does not... Chuck Hayes also doesn't turn the ball over.

Everything you just mentioned sounds like an accurate description of Chuck Hayes. I just considered Magloire another big body.

He would be a good fit behind Yao..he has decent athleticism, can block shots, and when given mins score points and grab rebounds. Deke will be gone next season, so I wouldn't mind at all picking him up.

It tells you how bad centers in the east were a few years ago when Magliore was named an All-Star.

That's a piece of trivia that may win you ten bucks at the bar.

File his name a few slots behind Tyrone Hill.

Even with the All-Star berth he got that one year, I never thought he really started. Every so many years there always seems to be a 10-13/10 guy in the game who is there just for the heck of it. Sometimes the guys are consistently good, other times they just.. make it in there somehow.

Call it membership in the Antonio Davis Honorary All-Star Squad.

Yeah, him too, 'cept he was better than Magloire.

Look at his face on his playerfile, he looks like a walking skull.

If Skeletor were a real person, I like to think that he'd look like Tyrone Hill.

(Kids in high school now have no idea what the hell I'm talking about.)
