The biggest knock on Nate Robinson is size, and lots of it. I don't think there's any way he's gonna be able to stop getting shot over in his career. However, when you watch Eddy Curry, who has size galore, or Zach Randolph even, you realize that you'll take Nate's deficiencies and his heart over the size. For one, Nate is probably our most consistent three point shooter, and has developed the midranged jumper. On the open court, he's unstoppable. He has the strength and quickness to lead the fast break, often outrunning his opponents, and although his vision isn't the greatest, he can dish it off. It's too bad we don't see that more. Despite his height, Nate is pretty determined, and never really loses his spirit. He's not afraid to draw fouls, and he'll go inside if he needs to. He may get shot over, but he's also strong enough not to get posted up. He's a good rebounder as many have noted above. I think the last thing that was shown was his improvement this summer, and although Nate might have done some dumb moves in previous years, he did show a maturity in his game, and has not stopped trying, even in the midst of this crappy season. He's not gonna be an allstar but he's not a scrub.

Nate Robinson is really underrated on these boards in general, because he has an awful attitude. On the court though, he's a very good, albeit streaky, shooter, an amazingly athletic finisher and rebounder, and a pesky defender when he wants to be.
The big problem with him is how little he is. At 5'8, he shouldn't EVER face guys over 6'1. Its too much of a deficiency in size, and guys shoot right over him, defense or no defense. His ideal role is also SG, since he's better at looking for his shot than the shots of others. You combine those two things, and it makes him a fine but limited bench player. This guy could be really valuable for 10-15 minutes a night, maybe less, maybe more depending on matchups.
Thabo is a guy who apparently is just awful in spot minutes, and needs heavy minutes to get into the flow, and get his rhythm, especially offensively. But what he's shown is a good slashing game, a developing midrange game, spotty at best outside game, but really fantastic team and good man defense, with superb rebounding numbers for a guard. As of this second, I would say that Thabo is indeed better than Nate, but not by the huge margin some suggest. However, Thabo has the ability to be a much more valuable player in the future due to his sheer physical capability.

Don't try to dissuade me and say I'm one sided because I'll be doing it anyway until you sucaks see the light. That Nate is truly Great.
Thabo 14/3/4
Robinson 6/4/3

I'd definitely take Thabo here but I think some of you are underrating Nate. Granted his ideal position is probably of first guard coming off the bench but the guy just energises the team when he's in. Put him in a system where trapping defense and open court play is encouraged and he would really shine.

Nate Robinson is a 5th guard at best. Your team is not going to win consistently if he plays major minutes because he's a poor defender because of his height, and he doesn't play the point well. He's closer to an undersized shooting guard than a shooting point guard.
Sefolosha is not great, but he does have length and decent handles. he can contribute to a winning team as a defender.
