This is not a championship level team!

Post#1 » by P2 » Sat Feb 23, 2008 6:00 am

With that kind of offense and sloppy play since the beginning of January, a First Round exit is more likely than #17. If we don't add a big PG who can run the offense, we're toast. Rondo just can't do it. We also need to add a veteran C who can rebound and defend.

This team looks lost right now and if there won't be any changes soon, I expect this team to continue with more of the same for the next two months. Chemistry? Bonding together? A shakeup is what is needed.

And I am starting to get sick of Eddie House. He is just good for 3's, and nothing else, but that doesn't seem to work as of late. He is nothing to this team right now.

As a Pistons fan I agree.

I don't want to sound like a moron..
But we were playing better with KG out.
Not taking anything away from our best player.
They need more chemistry built again.
Those 9 games out really hurt us.
This would be the perfect time to bring Sam in.

Again, this is nothing about chemistry, it's about not you, but Doc being the moron for not practicing any offense. And we just don't have the players to win. We just lack one or two pieces from really being the best team in the league.

The last 2 games we averaged over 120 ppg.
It's not the offense.
The stars had a bad shooting night due to bad ball movement.
I along with everyone else would consider that chemistry.

eh, hold Sun's offense to mid 80s so i guess we played good on one side of the court..Offense looked like it forgot how to play with KG and when he dominated the offense no one bothered to hold onto it when he left...Baby looks a little slow since the injury wouldn't hurt to miss a game or two and let Powe(who was doing a fine job) play...Perk since the injury is really having trouble with control of the ball but i really just think we need to calm down and see if our offense gets back to what we were doing previously..It's not like we can't do it again...And, we have 2 roster spots open for a reason, i'm sure Danny will do what he feels is best...

It's getting the act together. And as of right now, I don't expect this team to do so in the next two months without a proper addition to this team.

a complete and utter embarassment

Post#11 » by sox839 » Sat Feb 23, 2008 6:10 am

This was an absolute embarassment on the big stage. they played dead tonight from the beginning. If Ray and PP had shot decent we couldof been in the game and amare schooled us. Two things though lack of size and eddie house is not a point guard this is why he has been on a ton of teams year after year. Brent Barry is a free agent get him like now if cassell is out there fine but he isn't yet and might not be. Also lack of size pollard is a bust he doesn't play and hasn't done a darn thing accept nurse an ankle on the bench. Having scal would have been a step up from pollard.

In the end you will see, those two spots will stay vacant for the rest of the season if Cassell doesn't get bought out. Roster flexibility? Give me a break! Danny would even fear to sign LeBron for the minimum because of chemistry issues. I knew at the very beginning that we wouldn't sign players like other teams do.

Complete and utter crap. The C's held Phoenix to under 90 points. Their defense was good considering the opponent. They had an awful night and had tons of UNFORCED turnovers, and were offensively stagnant. RA and PP couldn't hit a shot, and the bench was underproductive. The Suns didn't take the C's out of this game, the C's took themselves out. You can't watch them beat Dallas and San Antonio without KG, then call them a non-championship team after they lose a game to a very, VERY good team. Give me a freaking break.

to say that we're a couple pieces away is pretty ignorant. how much better can a roster possibly be?

what is holding us back is the big 3. the big 3, for some reason, isn't able to put together games where all 3 play well cohesively with good chemistry. there are times where i can feel the tension between PP and Ray. When KG is passing out of the high post, he's passing to perkins and rondo, not Pp and Ray.

This seriously needs to be worked on.

Rough stretch of the season. We'll get it going again. The Spurs lost what, 28 games last year and won the title. I'm sure their fans were screaming for some moves to be made to take the team over the "hump."

The NBA has a long ass season and EVERY TEAM goes through rough stretches where things look terribly bad. Even in our roughest stretch of the season, we could have easily won the first two games of this road trip and only lost by 7 to a pumped up Phoenix Suns. And don't forget, when we played the Nuggets, we set a Colorado record for most fans to watch a basketball game and when we went to Golden State, we set a California recored for most fans to watch a basketball. We DEFINITELY got those two teams best effort of the year. Too much energy in the building not to do it.

The NBA is a game of energy and intensity and unfortunately no team can bring every night. Just not possible. We are taking everyone's best shot.

By the time the playoffs come, we should be good.

Guys, put aside your green glasses and all the homerism. This team is hardly Top 10 in the league right now.

PS- Ray and PP shooting around 20% isn't going to get it done either .
