No I would not trust him with the integrity of the league. Alot of you will laugh at me, but that's perhaps the biggest joke of a trade in NBA history when you consider the parts involved and the player going to the team he loves.

The NBA's next commissioner needs to be young, yet appreciates the history of the league and not pussify the rules to further benefit guards and kill big men.

Jerry West already retired. Chris Wallace is the GM of the Grizzlies.

Memphis
Minny
Charlotte
seattle
NJ

or if that pisses off too many fans of those teams, even though the revenue generated from those teams and attendance clearly show those are the teams that should be contracted. Then just these 4 teams that are undeniable.

NJ (moving anyway, brooklyn won't work no one goes to their games, they are a joke)
Seattle (moving anyway, this one pisses me off because they sold out up until 2 years ago)
NO (not a basketball city even before Katrina)
Charlotte(how many franchises have to not work there before teams stop going to Charlotte)

Why didn't you list the Knicks? Contract them and bring a new team to NY also named the Knicks.

Ya, seriously. He'd make the league lopsided towards the Lakers. They'd be the only team with a 200 million dollar cap. You'd see Sasha Vujacic traded for Dwight Howard in a player-for-player swap.

i agree with you, we would be a better team, if we contracted the knicks then had an expansion team named the knicks because the players we got in the expansion draft would be better than every player on our team not named david lee.

West would make a good Comish.

The point about age actually in my opinion works for the good because he wont be a decades appointment. New faces in this position regularly would serve the NBA well.

Talking about serving the NBA well - Stern is long past his usefullness and has just become a dead weight on this league dragging it down.
