We'll offer him either 5yr/$50M or 6yr/$60M and he won't see a single offer better than that. Let him take the QO and be disappointed again the following season if necessary. We'll be ready.

The Bulls need a six foot nothing shooting guard? I didn't think any team needed that.

He's been one of the main cogs of a team that's won one playoff series and is just a bad team this year. I'd offer him $7M and if he doesn't like it I'd tell him to come back when he grows six more inches or developes some point guard skills.

He'll get payed, and likely more than 55 mil. But it won't be by the Bulls.

I never understood the chucker label for Gordon. He was #8 on the SG list for points per shot, and 10th for adjusted field goal %. If anything, he needs to be more aggressive with his shot.

Gordon's worth 40 at best...I don't think he realized how much of his reputation came from playing for UCONN and then being on the Bulls as soon as they became decent.

He might end up with something like Diaw or Howard's contract. That's more than he deserves.

Iggy and Okafor will still get 50+ deals - Iggy deserves one and a defensive big will still get paid, even if they're overhyped.

He's not a chucker. Real GM is just full of people who don't know any better.

I believe his standing reach is also quite average for a two-guard. So he's not really under-sized either.

Deng will receive more than Gordon, but the Bulls should be able to match them both for next season. The Bulls look to be in good shape, possibly make a move for a big man.

Well all said and done Gordon will get 6 years $60mil and Deng will get 6 years $65mil.

Also, to those posters who say BG is a chucker, if BG is a chucker then so are Ray Allen/Rip Hamilton/Kevin Martin/Mike Redd etc. Coz there is just not much difference.

BG's point per shot is right there and he was in top 10 among SGs last year.

If anything, I wish he would shoot more coz he can definitely score against anyone.

Wouldn't mind if the Bulls gave Gordon 6/60.

He's just one of those guys who goes underrated on the GB.

Oh, and he's been the ultimate professional regarding coming off the bench. He might not like it, but he does it, and he does it damn good, without complaining.

If he doesn't start the rest of the year he might have a second 6th man award. (24 ppg, 48% shooting, 1.41 points per shot in 18 games off the bench so far)

But the fact that he's shooting 42% on the season shows how putrid his shooting has been in the remaining 26 games.

It'll depend on how he plays the rest of the season.

if Gordon was 6'6 with the same body, he'd be worth the max...

Yeah, Gordon is terrible to start the season. He's been that way every year in the NBA, and even back to college. It's kind of baffling because he works so hard in the off-season.

Gordon does his job very well. He's a great scorer off the bench, probably the best, IMO. But compared to guys like Monta Ellis and Barbosa, other undersized guards, he doesn't look too special. Is he worth 5/50? IMO, no. In fact, I think that Thabo will eventually be the best SG for the Bulls; I just like what he brings more than Gordon.

I think a team desperate for scoring will overpay to get him away from Chicago.

Then again, with everyone knowing that the Bulls aren't willing to pay him that much, they might have not give in to Gordon either.

Based on the salary cap thread, the only teams with cap room to sign a significant FA are Philly and Memphis.

- Philly's priorities will likely be to resign Iggy and a PF. Not a 6'2 SG.
- Memphis already have JCN and Mike Miller at the 2G and need more help in the post.

IMO it's either the Bulls, QO, or MLE. The question is whether the Bull's offer is still on the board.
