Looking at what moves every current Western Conference playoff teams have done, it surprises me that Denver didn't show any interest in Michael Redd.
Shooting guard is really the one only hole on their roster (if AI is playing point), and getting Michael Redd would have filled that hole.
This deal would be contingent that Nene has a chance at coming back next year.
Milwaukee trades:
Michael Redd
Dan Gadzuric
Denver trades:
Nene
Eduardo Najera
Steven Hunter
J.R. Smith
Should have made it happen Larry.
Why didn't Denver want Redd?

Because, Denver is already over the tax threshold.
Allen Iverson plays a lot of scoring guard for them.
Carmelo Anthony plays a lot of small forward for them.
They got the steal of the trading frenzy in Taureen Green.
George Karl knows what's up.
If anything, Redd should have been shopped to Orlando and Dallas.

Acquiring Nene's contract digs us a deeper hole with regards to financial flexibility. He's got 4 years left on his deal. Redd only has three.
Nene is averaging like 6 pts and 3 rebs. He more overpaid than Bobby Simmons.
Sure it would be nice to have Nene come off the bench for us, but before he had cancer he was already a walking myriad of health problems.
That would've been one dumba$$ trade

Nene's deal isn't horrible, if he is healthy. He is a 10/10 guy when healthy. Overpaid? Yes, but not nearly as bad as Bobby.
We are saving about 7 million a year yearly with him instead of Redd, and we get a young replacement for Redd.
I would rather have a 10/10 Nene for $7 million less than Redd. That is about the best we can hope for to get back for Redd.

Then he's never been healthy, because forget over the course of the season. Not even in a single month over his entire career has he ever averaged 10/10.

No....but he did average 15/8 on about 60% shooting in 42 starts last year(almost all of which were in the 2nd half of the season, as he was still coming off the ACL tear the year before in the beginning)....as well as 15/8 on 58% fg against Duncan in the playoffs last year.
6 and 6 in 19 mins actually, but that isn't really important, considering he has only played in about 10 games this year. You can't even really blame that on injuries though....getting cancer doesn't really fall in line with that, IMO. If he had been healthy, who is to say he wouldn't have kept up what he was doing last year, or even improved further?
His contract really isn't that bad. He is making less than 9 million this season...something i'd gladly pay for a 15/8 player with good defense. He just needs to get back on the court.
Anyway, he is doing chemo this weekend, and it'll take him a week to recover....then he'll be back on the court practicing again soon after and should make his return sometime in mid-march.

Redd should be shopped this summer to teams with cap space, much the way Richardson was sent to Charlotte for a draft pick. Charlotte had the cap space to absorb that contract.
Philly would be a good fit for Redd, they need a shooter to complement the slashing of Miller and Iguodala. They will have the cap space and a few good young players and a solid draft pick.
