the celtics got where they are now partially by trading top 10 picks two years in a row. i'd be really nervous right now if i were a knicks fan.
i sincerely feel bad for knicks fans. isiah is so sleezy and dolan is such a disaster that i feel bad paying for knicks/clippers seats a couple of weeks ago. a decrease in ticket sales is the only way it's gonna change imo.

Allen, Pierce, Jefferson is a lottery team?
You actually think Garnett makes that big of a difference? Allen, Pierce, Jefferson would be a 2 or 3 seed behind Detroit.

Jefferson is putting up empty stats in Minny since no one else can put the ball in the basket or rebound on Minny. Allen is a one dimensional shooter, who is horrid on D. Pierce would have to carry this team and has been proven to not be able to carry a team in the past.
KG is the reason they play great defense, and is the reason their offense is so fluid.

That isn't right. We play great defense because we hired one of the best defensive coaches in the NBA (he has coached his teams into top 10 defenses almost every year he was an assitant). Our defense was still good when Garnett went out for 9 games (not as good because I have to still give Garnett his credit).
Our offense was fluid without Garnett. It's when we lose Rondo that our offense is no longer fluid.
I still don't understand this "empty stat" thing people point out. Jefferson's putting those stats up while facing double teams constantly, and he is still shooting 50%! Put him on a team with Pierce and Allen and his shooting percentage goes up. He'd actually probably be better with the floor spread out because of Pierce and Allen.

KG is the leader on that team, even when he is off the court the defense is still great because he leads them. WIthout KG there is no leader, KG is also the best defensive player. YOu are disagreeing because you are a celtic fan, but you don't make the real playoffs with Jefferson, Pierce, and Allen. Probably could get a 5-8 seed in the east ,but that is because that only requires a losing record.
Boston would be much better off for the future if they had just drafted Yi and teamed him with Jefferson. Trade off Pierce for picks and expirings, and had let that team develop with a core of Rondo, Yi, Jefferson, and an impact player in free agency this year.
I'm not buying Boston as a championship team in a 7 game series, I think they can make the Finals, but i don't see them winning a 7 game series, especially not against the Lakers or Phx. I see their window as about 3-4 years long since Allen's career will be over after that window, and i don't see them get better unless they can add cheap vets like Grant Hill or someone of his caliber.
Sam I am would take them over the top though as a backup for Rondo.

Yeah he led our team great sitting in the locker room for those 10 games. (not trying to be fresh sorry..just annoys me when Garnett gets too much credit..its the coaches and the team).
