What if: Dallas gets 1st seed and faces Golden State AGAIN
Who would be the underdog in that game, and if Golden State wins again would it still be considered such a huge upset?

Can the 35-year old Kidd keep up the the 22-year old Monte? Up and down the court in 48 minutes?
That's a good question...we'll have to wait & see. I would LOVE for G. State to beat them again because I hate the Mavs, but it def wouldn't be easy....Kidd will be able to do a much better job on Monte & Davis than Harris did

Mavs
with Kidd in the lineup, they destroy Golden State this time. Kidd not only gives them a level of skill they never had at point (the previous players they had at the point were shooting guards or "combo" guards playing the position half-arse) and he also gives them a measure of toughness and leadership they were seriously lacking. No team with Kidd at the point will be wussy like the Mavs in the past have been.
Lots of talk about the impact of Gasol going the Lakers and Shaq to Phoenix, but I think this is a much bigger impact move than either of those.

That's my n*gga from Frisco. Skyline High School alumni. Reppin the Bay Area. That would suck for a local boy like him making all his people mad by helping to eliminate the Warriors in the playoffs. oh well.
Eddie House is from Skyline, Jason Kidd is from St. Joe's of Alameda, my alma mater and where I work part time.
Not many other basketball players homegrown in the Bay for awhile though... unless you count Chuck Hayes (SLandro) or Powe (Oakland)

Man on another note, Juwan Howard be thinking like he's so hard all of a sudden.
^^^That's the Golden State Warriors on New Years Eve. And they played the Mavericks like a day after that. Obviously the Warriors still had some alchohol in their system. Baron Davis wasn't himself and scored only like 2 or 4 points in that game as the Warriors lost to the Mavericks.
What really got me though is how after the game, Juwan Howard was mean mugging the Warriors. I was like WTF, how the hell is Juwan Howard getting mad at the Warriors all of sudden, what did they ever do to him. It's like now I wanna see my Warriors scrape the Mavericks just so I can see Juwan Howard frustrated. haha.

Ahh I keep getting everything mixed up. Isn't Eddie House from Hayward High?
And I remember when the Nets came to Oakland this season everyone was cheering for Jason Kidd during the Nets starting line-up. A lot of people love him here, it would suck to have to BOO his ass if the Warriors ever met the Mavericks in the playoffs.

This is just a random thought. I don't think it deserves a topic of it's own, and I can't really find a thread I should post it in. But since I've heard people crazy enough to say that the Mavericks might not even make the playoffs, i'll post it here:
Damn, how crazy would it be if there were 2 teams in the same conference that were only ONE game away from clinching an 8th seed with only ONE game left in the season. The crazy part would be that these two teams would be facing EACH OTHER in that last game. That's crazy. It would be like a GAME 7 in a regular season. Whoever loses gets to go fishing, and whoever wins gets to be 8th seed. haha. k that's it.
