Anyways the Heat just find ways to lose, is just like a curse.

No, I just like to compare Wade, Kobe, Lebron, Melo and the rest of the best players in the game. I hold Wade to their standards and when he struggles and we lose, I look at things objectively and state my opinion.

If you don't like my views thats OK.

Game is over so see you next time.

youre a bit too critical of Wade, he had his fucups but he carried us..

Jwill is horrible..
Blount just loses every rebound which offsets his offense..we got ourebounded 50-33
Marion was active defensively but was horrible offensively
Wright got injured?

I loved Ricky, Haslem, Banks off the bench...

its hard to win when the most important positions (PG, C) are ocuppied by 2 of the worst starters at that position in the league.

I agree that Wade made the right play in passing the ball when he got double teamed trying to take his man off the dribble, but passing it to Williams? That's like throwing the ball to Lucas.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

When Blount gets stuck under the rim, there's no way he recovers. He either just throws up a lame duck, or gets blocked. He's not jamin one down unless he has a clear path..

I'm so used to Zo or Shaq just rising up and slamming one down in that posistion..

Damn how the mighty have fallen...

I do not know why fans are upset so much about losing. No matter what happen, Heat still ends in the lottery.

Can we just accept the fact that the Heat is not going in the playoffs? Winning or losing right now is no big deal, actually losing is even better for more ping pong balls.

na its frustrating, i wanted that win badly...and we are so far ahead of the Knicks/Clippers/Bobcats in the lottery race that a couple wins wont hurt us much.

And it's not about "excepeting they're not going to the playoffs"

It's about wanting to see some type of direction and momentum that can be caried onto next season..

This is some serious losing going on. Like we were a Kareem Rush three ball late from possibly losing 27 straight. That's some serious futilty. Historical futility.

Also on the lottery, look at recent lottery history and see how many times the single worst team has had the number 1 spot. Very few times...You want to be in that 3rd worst category.

Hell Portland had the 7TH worst record, and ended up having number 1 last year.

You want to be in 3rd worst, 4th worst range...Adds up better.

Wade needs to shoot more and pass less.

I agree with you on the idea of losing, it's fun to do the 'Going Streaking' thread here and cheer for the loss, but I really do hope the team isn't doing it that way (although it also sucks hard if they actually are this bad) because you see the organisations that tolerate tanking (like Boston) take years to build up that winning mentality again.

But the whole thing about the worst record, and not getting good picks is like a Gamblers Fallacy. At the end of the day, worst pick = best chance at top pick, and not being any worse than 4th, which is great news in a draft with at least 4 really good prospects.

The worst record in the league has yielded in the 14 drafts since '93 (when the league did the weightings on the ball after Orlando got consecutive 1st picks):

1st pick: 2 times
2nd pick: 6 times
3rd pick: 2 times
4th pick: 4 times

Or for the sake of this draft, with 2 top prospects seemingly in Rose and Beasley

Worst record: 8 top 2 picks
Second worst record: 3 top 2 picks
Third worst record: 5 top 2 picks
Fourth worst record: 2 top 2 picks
Fifth worst record: 5 top 2 picks
Sixth worst record: 3 top 2 picks
Seventh worst record: 1 top 2 pick
Eighth worst record: 1 top 2 pick

So if you want a top 2 pick in the draft, both historically and mathematically, your best chance is to be the worst team.

I've found I don't mind the loss as long as the games are close and fun to watch.

I can handle this loss.

J-Nill (lol)

I suppose it would make no difference if we waived him (after the deadline for playing on another teams playoff team) if we are not going to re-sign him in the off-season.

Wright is progressing in every game. i'd definitely re-sign him even if it was only to trade him (though I hope not). His value is rising fast - and he's young.

Keeping J-Will and Ricky D instead of waiving them is important. Some teams may use their MLE on a player, and then want J-Will or Ricky as well and require a sign and trade. We could get a pick or even a player we like, although I think this season just about killed all their value, so probably not. Plus they are really good at securing our lotto balls.

Nobody wants JWill do they? If they did they could have had him on a trial period through the end of the season. Same with RickyD.

Well a $9 mill expiring is still paying J-Will $9 mill. I don't think anyone thinks either are worth that, but it's concievable that someone will pay one of them $3 mill or so in the offseason. To a team that wants to use their full MLE on a guy, but still wants one of these guys as well, having their rights could be worth a pick or something.

Wouldn't JWill and the interested team be better suited to just sort it out themself and forget the Heat though?

Most likely, but if they wanted to use their MLE elsewhere and also wanted J-Will, would he take the 1.8 mill LLE? At this point I think that's all he's worth, but maybe he wants more, meaning a team that had already used the MLE would need to negotiate with us. Either way, waiving the guy gives us no benefit cap wise or lotto balls wise, and if we want to play our younger guys we can just sit JWill and Ricky D.

Losing is a sickness and it can spread through a team and organization in an instant. I would never want for our players to accept losing in exchange for more ping pong balls. I'd like to see them play with grit and heart in these last 20 games and build a little momentum going into the offseason instead of just limping along. Play with some pride.

Tomorrow should be a win. Sac is far from home, in turmoil, and Ron Ron will have gone to B.E.D.
