I might have to go with, gulp, Songalia. Nice, efficient floor game.
Darius is confident now. He's been ... good ... since playing well against the Clippers.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

If we had won last night I was going to give Songaila my sentimental POTG vote just for not sucking.

He gets my sentimental vote for not sucking two games in a row. please let him permanently break out of his funk now! Now would be a good time!
Help us, Obi-wan Leonsis. You're our only hope.

Caron Butler is out again (strained left hip flexor) and is sounds as if it may be awhile before he gets back. Coach Eddie Jordan: "I'm not speculating on Caron's return. The best thing I can give you guys is to say that we are going to calm down his activity in rehab, maybe not fire the muscle up right now. Just rehab."

let's see....

threw a 'game thread' together in about 2 minutes, went to work and made some money, got home and ate, watched the Memphis-Tennessee game tape, found out that the wiz won tonight, now I'm getting to sleep......A+ for me tonight

eating, sleeping, making some money, watching some b-ball...life's pretty good.

EJ did a nice job with the rotations last night. Nobody played more than 36 minutes and nobody stayed on the floor for more than 12 minutes straight.

I guess it helps when the 2nd unit plays well.

I was at the Knick game and have been too discouraged to watch the last couple games (came home Tuesday night to find my renewal/playoff ticket notice--not good timing).

Who said "Keep Hope Alive," Jesse Jackson? Nice to get a win.

I'm just happy that Songaila doesn't look like the worst player in the NBA anymore.

You would think that there's no such thing as a 3-month cold streak, but Songaila proved it wrong.

He definitely has looked a lot better the last 2 games but... neither team had much of a post presence. We will have to see what he can do once that happens. He is scoring inside more so that will be challenged more.

I'm more excited by NYs ball handing skills. He does remind me a lot of GA when he first got here but it wasn't until year 2 when GA starter working on that kind of dribbling. Remember, that why we got him. He was GA insurance only he is a 6-6 SG which is where I wants my one-on-one shots coming from.

Props to AB and BH again. I'm glad we finally focused more on the post and driving to the post. I really see those 2 bounding together. BH must love having an athletic young shot blocking 7-0 player down there with him. To me, AB is a starter and it would make no sense to move him out of that role. Having strong post play is more important then guard play.

Side Note: Woodshaq gets props for the 5 assists but AJ also had 5 assists. That's great news if AJ is going to start to look for his teammates.

5 assists are season highs for both players. AJ did it twice before earlier in the season and had 4 once.

4-0 when AJ has 4 or more assists.

If AJ is the primary scoring threat then this is what he is going to have to do if we are going to open things up and get a team effort. It's what CB did when people were keying on him.
