Do we want to pickup Jamal Magliore so we never have to use Piggy Harrington again?
He's a former all-star and if he's motivated and part of the rotation or even a starter I think he can still be a quality big man.
Do we want Magliore?

No to both. Heres why.
The obvious answer is that Jamall kind of sucks this year. But mostly its different players, same problems.
If Charlotte is going to after "new guys" to shake things up, they should bring in guys like the ones Cleveland brought in. Kaniel Dickens and Billy Thomas. Youngish vets who've mostly had success at the minor league levels but have played previouslly at the NBA level.

Agree with Chrbal, part of why I've been harping on the dleague for so long. Not to get some prospect guy, but what's the risk of Randy Livingston? I like him more than Eddie Gill, but what's the risk of Eddie Gill? That they're worse than someone else on the roster? Ok, so don't give them a 2nd 10 day contract.
On topic: Magloire has had some chances to succeed in NJ and it failed terribly. In Portland, posters just said he needed a chance to start, that he could be an all-star again. Mags is not the center that was once an All-Star for the Hornets.

Just as a player, I wouldn't have been opposed bringing him in, if we hadn't traded for Mohammed already. But what's the point now? I remember when he was YOUNG, he was super sloth-like. I can't imagine how slow he is now. And we don't need another slow C that can't guard quick PFs. We already have a problem getting Okafor and Mohammed the minutes they deserve; you add Magloire and it's even worse.
