You know this stat is flawed when luke walton has the most steals in the clutch

Lebron fans sensing his MVP chances going out the window with Lakers over taking the conference lead...grapsing at straws now. Desperation tactics in full force. Homers trying to prove what no one believes.

Those stats are from this year only - a year when Kobe is surrounded by teammates who shoot better than he does.

Sorry.
Thats even dumber than I had initially thought.

Drawing conclusions about a players "clutchness" based on a half a season of play.

Kobe's clutch time stats are much worse the last several years. This year may be the best he's ever played in the clutch. Certainly the best of the years that clutch time stats are available for, all the way back to the Shaq era.

What's funny is how you think everyone who thinks LeBron is MVP over Kobe is a cavs homer when I don't believe two of the main people who are debating it in the MVP thread, including the OP of this thread, are even cavs fans.

It doesn't take a cavs homer to think that the most valuable player in the league should win the MVP award. And one thing that I don't think has been pointed out about the clutch time stats is LeBron has more clutch time minutes than any player in the league.

LeBron is being asked to do more in the clutch time than any player and is coming trough better than any player. Without that clutch time play, including 21 come from behind wins, the cavs would be contending with the Heat this year as they've only won 10 games that didn't depend on LeBron's clutch time play to lift them to victory.
