That team made the playoffs and Kukoc was not the Kukoc that played with Jordan but an aging out of shape veteren. Magliore was what he is and he has not performed for any other team since being traded and in fact has gone down hill to the point of currently being out of the league. Joe Smith has never been a difference maker but always has been a servicable player and Bobby Simmons having a decent basketball IQ is a great selling point. Wow, after reviewing this info I wonder how they didn't win an NBA championship!!!!!

Porter had his team playing just as well his first season with alot less talent than the team Stott's had his first season.

As for their second seasons, I give both a pass more so due to injuries. But I think Porter and his staff were better and could have done alot more with that squad than Stotts did.

Given a team built for running and gunning, I think stotts can win big, but the bucks that first year with Bogut/Magloire would've been better served with a different approach.

We will have to agree to disagree on that one, Bogut was a rookie not ready to be a go to guy down low and Magliore is what Magliore is. the best option for that team ws up-tempo in my mind.

Even so, they were both worlds better than Daniel Santiago. I know hes an NBA legend and everything, but the guy just plain sucked.
