Our Free Agents, especially Diop

Post#1 » by RJ 24 » Sun Feb 24, 2008 8:07 pm

Which of our Free Agents to be do you guys think will be resigned?

Darrell Armstrong
DeSagana Diop
Nenad Krstic
Boki Nachbar
Stromile Swift
Keith Van Horn

I think DA will retire, Kristic will be resigned, KVH's option won't be picked up, and Swift will pick up his option knowing that he won't get anything close to that if he opts out.

I really don't know about Boki. I think some team is going to give him a good amount of money.

And Diop, I really don't know. Does anyone else think he is going to be a Net next year?

Diop is going to have show some of that dormant potential in limited time this season for us to sign him. Krstic I think will be for about three-four years and not as much money as he would if it weren't for his injury. I see someone doing a Mikki Moore on Nachbar. Armstrong will retire. Swift picks up the option for your reason. I don't see Van Horn making a comeback.

We need to fill the 2 hole via Free Agency or draft. That should be one of our priorities this offseason.

I don't mind if Swift picks up his option

krstic will be resigned, but it better be on the cheap, at the present time he's not worth overpaying. Diop i believe we should keep.

Everyone else, don't let the door hit your ***es on the way out!!!!!

Krstic will most likely be resigned .
Swift will pickup his option , i'd be shocked if he doesn't.

DA will retire , KVH well .........

So it comes down to Boki and Diop and i'd say the FO will try to keep both to reasonable contracts but if they demand to much , we'll let'm walk .

I'm not very high on Nachbar at all at this point, he should have been WAY, WAY better this season and it seems like he plays scared sometimes...where is the Nachbar that was making highlight reels every other game with the brutal dunks?! That guy would be worth resigning to a reasonable deal...this dude who shows up 1 out of every 6 games...let some other team over pay.

Gana we will resign.

DA will be gone.

Curly will resign, I say something around 3/4 year worth around $20 million.

Boki will sign hopefully for cheap.

Swift will be outta 'ere!

Hopefully we can re-sign Diop, even if it's or like one year or something.

KVH......nuff said.

I can't believe we have to put up with Ager for another year. I have no faith in this guy.

^^Are you kidding, Ager is probably the best SG/PG on our roster. Hell put him at Center and just watch him succeed...

Diop is young, so he could be leaning more towards financial security.

You guys don't think a tandem of Krstic and Diop can help the Nets for the next few years?

I would LOVE to see the tandem of Diop and Krstic, hopefully his agent won't demand too much.

Ager is here for another year??? What?!? I thought he was off the books!!

:nonono: can't we trade him to a d league team or something?

I am dumbfounded every time Frank sends Ager into the game. Frank also seems to think Nachbar is a bona fide PF. To sign or not to sign Bostjan Nachbar?

Nenad Krstic will resign he's a part of the team's future.
Swift will pick up the option on his contract and we'll release him the second we can.

Every other FA is as good as gone.

minnesota fan here

I guess minny fans would like to take Diop away from you. do you think your FO will resign him? you got boone, williams and swift already under contract (the latter one will certainly pick up his option - he'd be stupid if he wouldn't) and krstic should be higher on your list than diop IMO. what do you think how high the chances are that he'll resign with you?
