lol @ the Celtics fans claiming that there going to the finals after beating Portland to break a losing streak. You're not going to the finals this year. So stay in your board and shut the **** up.

He also said Portland would be in the Finals.

Chill, he says that to every team, after every game.

Sounds like some sour grapes. Sheed is better than KG. Our bench sucks yet we have the best record in the NBA. You talk about KGs lack of class. You would seem to know a lot about that.

Witty retort. Maybe you can go start a KG vs Sheed thread on the player comparison board to put me in my place.

thanks for backing me up bro, i appreciate it. i am glad i am not the only person that things KG is overrated. sure, he has talent. but he talks trash and doesnt let his game do the talking. where as Rasheed talks trash, but backs it up. like he did today vs Amare and the Suns.

anywayz, i liked LaMarcus's anger today. he wasnt backing down. oh god i cant wait till next year with greg oden. i just hate when other teams push our team around. sometimes, i feel sry for our players because they are young and innocent.

NP, KG has been seen as one of the best players in the NBA for years now but he's nowhere near the level of TD, MJ, Shaq, ect in terms of accomplishments. I don't deny that he's talented but he's constantly overrated by NBA teams and analysists alike.

KG's emotion is what makes him one of the most exciting players I've ever seen. I just don't see the haterade on that one.

The fact that he tries to bully anybody around him is what makes me hate him with an undying passion. Ive NEVER liked KG. I was so glad to see Aldridge not back down from him. When they went to the ground fighting for the ball, he got up and had a few choice words. Aldridge plays a lot more tough down low when he gets pissed. Hopefully he learns how to get that fire every night.

Im pretty torn with the celtics because I hate KG and Pierce, but I love Ray Allen and want to see him get a championship before hes done. I doubt it happens in Boston though. Not to sound like sour grapes, I just dont see them beating teams like Detroit or Cleveland in a 7 game series let alone beating the team that somehow makes it out of the west. I know they have the best record in the league still but they have come down from their crazy pct., Detroit is a deep, playoff tested team who will be ready come ECF time, Cleveland has gotten better, and LeBron is starting to take that team to where it was last year now that hes gotten healthy. I just doubt that Boston has what it takes to make it through those 2 teams, and one of SA/PHX/LAL (most likely one of those)

Which one has been won a championship and nearly won the title in 2000 if Kobe hadn't hit those miracle shots? I'm sorry, but players like KG are vastly overrated and when it comes to the big show, they never seem to win. Either Detroit or a western team will pound Boston in the playoffs.

Last time I checked, Basketball is a team game, and Sheed's supporting cast on both Detroit and Portland was far better than anything KG's had before this season. If we go by your (il)logic then Derek Fisher is a better point guard than Steve Nash, because he has more rings.

Is english your first language? I hope not.

That bunch of scrubs has done pretty damn well this season, this game was a pretty good example.

I think he means relative to Detroits bench.

Anyways, I don't if Sheed actually played to his potential in the post/paint it would be a harder comparison. But he doesn't IMO.

One last thing, the "look at our record" line means little. Look at Dallas last year. #1 seed, out first round. Or in 06 when Dallas (4) beat SA (1) in the second round. Ya the season record is pretty, but will it amount to anything in the playoffs? Only time will tell...

We need better guards.

And Oden.

I don't believe you. I mean, wasn't pretty much everyone telling me that Jack was a "great" player last year, particularly on the defensive end? And Steve Blake--don't even get me started on Steve Blake. He's clearly the sort of piece that every championship team has and every runner up team describes as "missing."

And Oden.

Pffft! Show me a player with a mohawk that was ever better than a scrub. He's clearly never going to be better than Adonal Foyle.

Blazers could use a good player at any position. Even another center in addition to Oden that is good enough to play would be great.

Agreed, if the best player on the board come draft time is a center they should get him. If they can get a good center via trade for pieces they are willing to give up they shouldn't hesitate.

If the best player on the board is a center anywhere in the lottery, I'll eat my hat. The centers may be ranked higher, but they aren't better players in this draft.

But then there is always someone willing to reach for size.

Most likely not. This draft looks to be quite guard/SF heavy. Pretty much a dream scenario for Portland two years in a row. Last year the most glaring needs were C and SF and they had their pick of the litter. This year PG/SF and they look to be in a solid position to get one.

I have no idea how KP's draft board were to shape up. But, I just think that if he has a center ranked at the top of the board for whatever reason come draft time that the selection should be made regardless of the current situation at center. I seriously doubt it would ever come to that as to me there are probably 15 prospects I'd go for before considering a center on the draft board.

Of course if Portland somehow turned it around and made the playoffs securing a 17-20 pick I would have to think that drafting a center is a real possibility. But again, not likely.

I'm optimistic Blazers will get a top 3 pick.
