Time to shine this week

Post#1 » by Magz50 » Mon Feb 25, 2008 2:33 pm

After Atlanta tonight we have a few days off before playing Dallas on Thursday and then two must wins against Milwaukee and NJ on the weekend. The Dallas game will be HUGE in seeing where we're at for rest of the season. We need two wins. Hopefully those extra days off will give parker even more rest to be ready to battle Kidd and make him our bitch again.

The Dallas game should be very interesting. They lost 2 of the guys that really gave us fits in Harris & Diop and added Kidd, who's never really given us much trouble before. Logic tells me that the Mavs are no longer a threat to us, but reality may prove differently.

Dallas is of course a big game, but I'm just not too worried about them. Naturally less than before the Kidd trade, too.

I don't think the Dallas game is going to determine the rest of our season. Still have several other significant games, too. Including another against Dallas.

I guess i meant as in it's a 2 pointer game. 1 win for us and a 1 loss for them put us 2 GB's ahead if we win, which goes along way with only 38 games left.

Dallas isn't a team that we need to worry about anymore..Parker should be able to have his way with Kidd because of his quickness, and Duncan will play even better than he usually plays vs. Dallas now, without Diop..

we should make a run though..I want to see a winning streak..I'm expecting the 1st or 2nd seed with the Lakers..

I agree...

We are 9-1 in our last 10 games but I want a long winning streak.

I think we have the potential to really smash the Mavs. Those three days will be great for giving the Spurs a chance to practice, allowing Thomas to get some familiarity going with this team. He looked so good tonight as far as being in the right place to grab a rebound, and finding the open spot to get his jumper, that with a little familiarity, I think he's going to be huge. So if he gets some more minutes on Thursday, we could have an opportunity to seriously destroy the Mavs on the boards.

One thing i'm certain of that i've never been confident to say in the past 5 years, we're gonna smash the mavs on the boards with kurt in the lineup.
