He's coming to us guys. Really. I don't think he wants to go to the east.(boston or cleveland) Cavs? They have alot of wing players already in newly acquired delonte, szerbiak, and also booby, damon jones. Barry's importance will be ignored since they already made a blockbuster trade to begin with. And i think they're in the luxury tax too... with big bens salary.
Secondly, Why would he go to boston with three studded superstars plus rondo. You really think Ray allen or paul pierce need some shooting help? That'll be San antonio allover again.
After how you guy's treated barry, in his diminished role, and trading him to lowly sonics, i don't think he wants to come back to a team that didn't want him, unless you offer more. At this stage, i don't think money is what he's looking for. He wants to contribute.
So it really comes down to mavs and rockets. Mavs already acquired a legendary player, and they've got plenty of wing shooting guards already i think. Jkidd, jason terry, stackhouse, josh howard, emergence of jj barea, and even dirk plays at the wing sometimes. They also are getting a Center, maybe magloire. So they might not have a roster spot. How is he going to get space in that lineup? Aside from the fact that they're already in the luxury tax, do they really want to worsen it?
Rockets really need him and our GM showed interest off the bat. We're in need of shooters, and t'mac really doesn't have a backup since bonzi left. Having jon barry on our side certainly helps too.
So the smart move for brent barry, is to come to houston rockets. He'll play a pivotal role for us, if he really wants that opportunity. We've got a big gaping hole for a player like him since bonzi left.
Rockets also offer the lowest chance to get a ring.

Rick Barry is on KTAR right now talking about Brent. He says that Brent would be better off basketball wise here in Phoenix than in San Antonio. Says he would love to see Brent here and would be a great fit here. However, he says, the San Antonio community and the Spurs love Brent and his wife and that the decision by Brent will most likely be made by his wife. In the regards of whether SHE wants to be here or if SHE would care if he's here or if SHE wants him to stay in San Antonio.

Yeah, he doesn't seem to like Pop too much. Yeowsers! Funny thing is that he forgets that the new suns aren't the old suns...Run and gun no longer exists in Phoenix. THere's this new guy out yonder who doesn't run and gun so much...he's kind of changed the who mentality of that team.

I don't see why anyone is surprised by this, it was straight collusion by the Spurs and their buddies on the Sonics (Presti and PJ). This was just a whole act to make it look legit.
I'm sure Pop, as the honest person he is, will criticize the league for allowing such an obvious unfair/colluded trade to go through between SA and Seattle now (just like he did with the Lakers and Grizz). I mean, Pop's all about integrity, right?
