It's just inheritably wrong to assume just because a given NBA player is in the NBA as of this moment, it makes him better then every college player (or euro league player for that matter). While the NBA has the greatest collection of talent and great basketball players in general, the whole association does not have the best 435-450 players in the world at any given time. There's players in Europe who are better then a NBA player, and there's college players who could take some player's job right now. Just because they're not in the NBA right now doesn't make them inferior, what makes them inferior is their ability to play the game (and the ability stays the same regardless of if someone plays in Madrid or Milwaukee)
That's not my assumption. In answer to the original poster's question, I stated that every one of scrubs is a better player than any of the Memphis players. In answer to another question directed to me, I stated that Snow is a better player than Rose. Neither of my statements was meant to suggest that all the players in the NBA right now are better than all other basketball players.
Though Dr. J, Darnell Hillman, and Artis Gilmore's fros got most of the attention, George C. Trapp's fro should be noted for its bouncy qualities.

The Gators weren't that good either if you compare them to the NBA, we even have their NBA records to look at. Note I do not account for future potential since we are talking about whether college players can beat NBA players.
Horford: Serviceable but below-average and undersized center
Noah: Scrub
Brewer: Scrub
Richard, Green: Don't get any PT at all
Other guys: Not even in the NBA.
So on the Florida team looking at the NBA level you have one semi-decent player, two scrubs, two benchwarmers, and a bunch of non-NBA players.
