I don't see why people hate on Manu. Right now he is playing close to flawless basketball. I think the problems with his endurance are overstated, he has been pretty decent this year in that area. Bottom line is that he does whatever SA needs of him, most of the time he isn't required to be a superstar. Right now I don't think anyone could stop him.

It's obvious the heat are tanking so I see no reason to judge a PLAYER because his TEAM sucks...

I'd love to see Manu take a a team of:

C-Blount
PF-Haslem
SF-Davis
PG-Williams

to the playoffs...

He would take them to more than 9 wins

why is everyone hating on ginobili, i hate the spurs but he is one of the most solid sg's in the game, he is a complete all around player, and if it wasnt for the refs allowing dwayne wade to shoot 20 fts a game(atleast 10 undeserved) he wouldnt even be in this conversation, hes a sg that cant shoot. i would take manu over tmac and his back and any other sg not named kobe. and lebron is a sf

Put Manu on the Heat let`s see what he can do

maybe atleasy 2-24

kobe dragged a worse team than this to the play-offs two years ago, wade could atleast drag this team to double digit wins

Manu IS the second best SG in the league as far as I'm concerned. Battle tested, tough on ball defender, money shooter, great at getting to the line, etc. I'd love to have him on my team.

Manu is on my favorite team, and Dwyane Wade is a player I like, and I always defend him on here..so I'm not going to comment on the heads up match up..but a lot of people seem to ignore the fact that MIAMI IS CLEARLY TANKING..just watch a Heat game, and look at the decisions and shot selection they have in clutch time..do you really think Dwyane Wade would have thrown a HALF-COURT alley-oop to Shawn Marion with less than a minute remaining and the Heat down about 5 IIRC a few weeks ago? obviously not..

Wade was the best player in the NBA in 2005-2006..he had one of the greatest runs of all-time in the playoffs..I'm not using this as an argument against Manu, because I love him too..I'm just pointing out that Dwyane Wade clearly isn't as bad as he has played this year..just wait until the Heat get their draft pick..he'll have a reason to start playing again..

both guys actually play the EXACT same way when they go inside..they are probably the 2 best players in the NBA at cutting through the lane and avoiding charges/making circus shots..

I don't know if there is any greater charge you can level at a player than to say that they are playing at less than their capability, or are playing to lose.

If what you are saying is true - what is the difference between what Wade is doing now, and what Carter did in Toronto?

(For the record, I don't believe Wade is 'tanking'. I can't believe that people think he is purposely trying to lose games)

Wade isn't playing bad though..he's still putting up nice numbers..but I have no doubt about the Heat tanking..just watch them in clutch time, they can't be that bad..

So you're saying that the players on the court are intentionally losing games?

Uh, okay.

Jeff Van Gundy just meant it for this stretch. Of course Manu is not the second best SG for the long run. He is just on a roll right now, and JVG was showing him some appreciation.
