With the exception of Martin, none of those players will be anything more than decent bench or starting players.

:banghead: Within a few years, Hawes will be the guy the Kings run their offense through. And we'll be in the playoffs, book it.

A rare turn of events, a Realgm poster makes an outlandish and unsubstantiated claim about their mediocre rookie and tells others to "book it".

Waiting on other fans to say that people who don't watch him can't understand, he's "special" and has "it", and he would be doing a lot better with more minutes.

Why are you so sure of Hawes' greatness? If you have some sort of insight, please share because we all come here to learn a little.

I agree with Cruel_Ruin. He played extremely well in the summer league and he always impresses me when he's on the court. My predictions about players are usually right. I predicted that Martin and Turkoglu were going to be great players and look at them now. All 3 players were drafted by the Kings.

I'd say the 20 point beating Orlando put on Sacto last night pretty much shuts the door on this thread.

Umm, we were down 7 points entering the 4th quarter but Theus "decided" to keep Martin (Which he was our best player for the game) and Beno at the bench for the majority of the quarter...So, that 20 point blow out is inflated, so eh... :D

I'm pretty sure coaching is part of what goes into how good a team is. So, find a new coach or you are what you are. Unless Kevin Martin was going to somehow defend Keyon Dooling or Brian Cook I would say you were pretty much screwed either way.

Eh, I know..But it's pretty unusual that Theus bench his best player for the majority of the 4th...Eh, the past is the past... Umm, I wonder how they will defend Martin (Entering the 4th he had 21/10/5) You guys were screwed about that scenario Image

At best that win evens out that the Kings beat Orlando back in Sacramento minus Artest and Martin. But sure, I'll admit that the Magic are better than the Kings. Just using last night isn't the reason.

So by that measure, I guess the Kings beating Orlando in Sacramento minus a few starters down a couple months ago pretty much nullifies any door being shut, right? 1 game is not indicative of an entire season. I don't think anyone's arguing Orlando is worse than Sacramento. But you put the Kings in the East and they're the 4-6th seed there.

aaaaaaaaaahahaahha. is this topic a joke?

anyone who thinks that the kings are better than orlando is kidding themselves. for example, just compare the top 3 players on each team.

dwight howard, rashard lewis, hedo turkoglu

vs

brad miller, ron artest, and kmart

one could argue that any of orlando's top 3 is better than any player on the kings.
