I am in a 12 team H2H keeper league...we are able to keep 5 players and 1 rookie or sophomore...we can also keep 2 bubble players that must go back into the pool before next years draft..my keepers are below in bold....I was offered Richard Jefferson, Mike Dunleavy, and Rafer Alston for Brandon Roy...I am on the outside looking in of the playoff race right now....would this trade put me in position for a playoff run without compromising the future?...also who would you drop?
Here is my team:
Randy Foye(Min - PG,SG)
Raja Bell(Pho - SG)
Danny Granger(Ind - SG,SF,PF)
Kevin Durant(Sea - SG,SF)
Drew Gooden(Chi - PF)
Gerald Wallace(Cha - SF,PF)
Amare Stoudemire(Pho - C)
Joakim Noah(Chi - PF,C)
Brandon Roy(Por - PG,SG)
Caron Butler(Was - SF)
Mike Bibby(Atl - PG)
Manu Ginobili(SA - SG)
Josh Boone(NJ - PF,C)
Andrew Bynum(LAL - C)

Jefferson and Dunleavy is a pretty good return for Roy. specially ifor a playoff push
if NJ trades vince this off season, Jefferson becomes the man in jerz. so thats good for a keeper league imo, however thooo. looking at ur roster, i dont think ud keep either dunleavy or alston. so the trade might help u now, but would u typically do a Roy for Jefferson deal straight up?
id prob wanna keep Roy... and another thing, u might wanan try keep Manu for next year over Bibby pending how bibby finishes this year with the hawks...

I'll offer my two cents...
Present:
Roy is certainly worthy of a keeper spot. However, if you can make a run at your championship by trading him, I'd say to go for it. Roy has said that he will not be 100% for the rest of this season. To me, that's a big red flag and reason enough to trade him. Add that Butler and Wallace are dealing with injuries, so Jefferson will help at that spot. Alston may give you some much-needed help at the PG spot, where your team is especially weak after trading away Roy.
Future:
Keeping an eye on your future, these are probably the players you'll want to keep after making the trade.
Amare Stoudemire(Pho - C)
Caron Butler(Was - SF)
Gerald Wallace(Cha - SF,PF)
Danny Granger(Ind - SG,SF,PF)
Manu Ginobili(SA - SG)
Andrew Bynum(LAL - C)
Richard Jefferson (NJ - SF)
Kevin Durant(Sea - SG,SF)
Not a single player who can play PG. Unless you can move some wing players for a PG worthy of a keeper spot, it looks like you should just stick with Roy, but temper your expectations for the rest of the year.

Thanks for you detailed input Ismality....I've decided to go for it...what the hell...that is still a pretty good keeper core and it helps with production with Wallace and Butler out right now....I was thinking the same thing...I will either move a few wing players and pick up a keeper worthy PG....or I will just make that my first priority in the draft next year..
