^^ Lupe's bringin back rap. **** the beats. It's about lyrics man.
Rap and R&B these days just disgust me. It's only beats and BS lyrics which have no meaning besides sexual ratings and degrading women by callin them bitches, sluts, hoes, etc.
Ima techno and trance listener now and Im waiting for another rapper like Nas to change the game. And that wont happen in a while, that Im sure of.

Welcome to last year.
Definitely one of my favorite hip hop albums ever though.
I'd strongly suggest checking out Dirty Acres by Cunninlynguists.
Best hip hop album of the year IMO.

Again, check out Cunninlynguists' Dirty Acres (and A Piece Of Strange).
BTW, Imma be changing my name to them. Thats how much I love their music. hah
Beat are amazing (Kno is the best producer today), but its not those crunk type beats.
They are soulful and smooth type of beats.
The lyrics make the album what it is though.
Listen to this. The perfect song IMO.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhW9p-8kJ64
And the lyrics, just amazing.
[Intro:]
What'll you do when the people go home
What'll you do when the show is all done
[Deacon:]
I can't
I won't
I, no
[Verse 1: Deacon]
I'm 25 now, year I told my pops I'd toss the towel in
Making music no longer easily makes my smile bend
Though, 'wow's'from the crowd's ain't end yet
Them smiles and back pats still ain't helpin the rent checks
Ain't far from crack packs if I hursh these verses
Flippin words **** for an empty purse feels worthless
Listen, word of mouth done been a blessing and a curse
We reach heads, but the only bread we see's off shirt sales
Tours and shows spread all over the earth, well
Recoup gas and hotels, back to this dirt, Hell's
Far away though, believe I ain't complaining
Rather explaining, that unless this southern rain end
We'll show proof we's as real as you
Needing a roof, some shoes, dollar bills and food
Two from The Dirty met with mismatched skin
Acknowledge first that one day this track may end
When there's no more steam in that engine
Yet hopefully clean streams be an astringent
But needs outweight cheese tryna stay in contention
"For the love" is a hard reason to keep my life in suspension
"For the love" is a hard reason to keep my life in suspension
Kno
"For the love" is a hard reason to keep our lives in suspension, yeah
[Hook:]
What'll you do when the people go home
What'll you do when the show is all done
I know what I'll do in the alone of my time
But what'll I do with the leftover wine
What'll you do, lay it down
What'll you do, lay it down, lay it down, lay it down again

Yeah, their work is f'in amazing.
BTW, im in the process of changing my name to honor them. lol
Dirty Acres (dropped late last year) is a MUST.
Every song is so f'in beautiful.
I've dropped over $100 bucks on Cunninlynguists stuff (and Qn5, which is the label theyre on made by rapper Tonedeff, the best lyrical rapper i've ever heard) on last month alone. lol
BTW, here's my favorite track on Dirty Acres. CHeck it out.
Cunninlynguists - Mexico
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUZ0c9ikm24
[Hook:]
I know these dreams seem make believe
But I don't think we should let em go
Can't promise you Rome or St. Tropez
But one day we might make it to Mexico
[Verse 1: Natti]
Baby doll can I call in a favor
If you trust me, I trust you
We must to
Get past times we cuss through
While we stand swearin like we in front of judge who
Evers on TV, you know what I mean
Cus whatever you seen be it debit or green
Natti came up on from chasin a dream
But yet, like a lil free Red Corevette
Sweet on the streets, worth less when it's wrecked
Work, stress, and sweat, this life is a test but
Believe it's gonna be all gravy
We be runnin in the sun to lay where it's shady
But not fast, fun filled with laughs
Can't take a trip to fall runnin to first class
How I wish the woods would up and disperse cash
Til' they do it's me and you and where I'm taking you last
Lil' bathin suit, me grabbin yo ass
Past borders with waters as clear as your glass, so
Let's go down Mexico, where the
Reefer is cheaper and the sex is slow, c'mon
[Verse 2: Deacon]
How about sex on the beach? Right
Dos Equis? Right, under red light
Special, sidewinder track through sand
Swim a lil' bit, dance when we back on land
Darlin, whatever floats your boat
From Kentucky well water to whale watchin off a back porch
Smoked out rotisserie turning
A lil tequila, some kissin and burnin
But anyway, That's after words are said
The ring bearers, the flower girls, the I Thee Weds
But that's miles away like your smile today
I'm feeling lower than the Nile in May
Cause all I know is I don't know and you don't either
All I know is that we need us
And plus we know, that I ain't paid
Yet all we think is I'm gone lead us
Together, Forever
Girl that's a pressure unmeasured
No lesser your treasure
Cause even the Reverend would tell ya
That heaven's no better
Heaven's no better, than you
[Bridge: Kno]
Let me get my David Bowie on real quick, check it

Ok, I think I've got all my gear:
Perfect Push-ups came in the mail today, Phil's sweet Swiss ball, 2 sets of dumbbells (10s and 15s), and an exercise mat (not pictured). Can I get ripped with just that, no gym membership, no bowflex? TBD.
Here's a before pic of me in all my winter skinny fat glory:
Stats (measured right now):
height: 5' 7.75"
weight: 144.5 lbs
Played a few years of volleyball in high school, played some pickup basketball in college, and that's the extent of my workouts. I haven't lifted weights since high school, I don't run (shin splints and it's cold outside), but I do play basketball once a week (for the past 3 years). I would say my cardio sucks, but I've generally felt strong for my weight/size, enough to get away with not working out.
My goal is to be in shape for basketball tournaments, surfing over the summer, and possibly crew. In general, stronger upper body but solid all around. Also, since my job and my hobbies center around the computer, I'm starting to feel my right shoulder dropping and my body sometimes feels misaligned. I also bought a yoga DVD from amazon (it's the one with the weird asian guy in it), especially considering how much Jordan Farmar benefited from it.
Workout fiends, please feel free to recommend specific workouts that might be appropriate for me.
Thanks!

Heard about CunninLynguists for the first time about 5 years ago. One of my friends was really into them. I mostly remembered them because the name cracked me up. I have to say though, they don't sound anything like I expected. Nice recommendation Trixx.
PS: This song is sick. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QIWRHR3 ... re=related

Yeah, i've been a huge fan since.
Theyve grown a lot though.
On their first album ("Will Rap For Food"), they were a comical group with songs like Thugged Out Since Cub Scouts.
but even then, they had amazing lyrical stories, like Mic Like a Memory

They turned the corner (as far as their rap style goes. they grew more mature) with A Piece Of Strange. Amazing album.
