Boston just seems like the most reasonable destination with Pierce, Allen and Garnett all being players who don't mind others dominating the ball.
Iverson and anthony need the ball to be effective so there isnt enough room for Cassel?
But Pierce, Allen and to a lesser extent KG dont need the ball to be effective so he would fit in well there?
The Nuggets rely way to heavily on the scoring of AI and Mello that Cassel would be a great addition and get alot of open looks and easy penetrations.
If hes looking to play somewhere that he would make better he should choose the Nuggets if he just wants to sit on the bench and be a backup but also have a pretty good shot at a ring then he will choose the Celtics.
One thing is for Ainge is one lucky mother, people were calling for his head then he gets a favor from McHale and Allen falls in his lap, which then brings Posey and Cassel. BS!!!

NBA sources indicated that the Celtics, Mavericks, and Nuggets all are prepared to make Cassell an offer once he clear waivers in 48 hours. All three teams have their biannual exceptions available to give to Cassell (a maximum of $1.83 million) while the Mavs have their full mid-level available ($5.356 million) and Denver has $2.356 of its mid-level. The Celtics have spent all of their mid-level.
So who do you guys think he will choose? Mavs, Nuggz, Cavs or C's?
Celtics but I think he should go with the Nuggets but he's probably knows they got the harder road to the finals.

Nugs would be one of the few teams who could offer him a second year on a deal so that he can begin moving into a coaching role under Karl as he has stated he wants to do. Although I see it as a bad person to learn how to coach under, Sam might help Karl keep his job if he can be talked into Denver.

something is definitely wrong here
Uh STFU. This guy worked his ass off for a team that isn't even playoff bound. Dude is at the end of his career and earned his right to play on a contender. Back off.

Sam already got a ring. I say hang it up and go home.
First the federal government borrowed money; then gave the money to Bank of America; then I borrowed some of that money from Bank of America and gave it to the federal government; then the federal government gave the money back to Bank of America.

If Cassell goes to Denver, their perimeter defense just gets worse. God.. a Cassell/Iverson starting back-court, with Carter, Atkins, Carmelo, JR Smith, Kleiza. Kleiza's not a bad defender, but not nearly enough to make things decent. Diawara gets erratic time, and doesn't play late in games, anyway.
Once AI is gone, they need to get a team-playing SG to pair with Carmelo. Bobby Jones would of been ideal for this, maybe they can get him back sometime.
Besides the defensive factor, Cassell needs to get a handful of touches to be most effective, rather than an Eric Snow-type offensively. And, it's not favoring for Denver to get out of the 1st round. Though I would think they have a solid chance against Phoenix, regardless of Cassell.
Would obviously be the shooter and enough of a play-maker, they need. Still would need one more reliable shooter, though, to improve enough in the way of 3PT shooting.
Be surprised if Sam doesn't go to Boston.
