There is no proof that this a side deal with Mavs and Nets.

This is how side deals are supposed to get done... Now we know why the Nets got $3 million in cash from the Mavericks... That was an excellent smokescreen thrown by Thorn.

Look at the Nets roster at PF/C then you see why they waved him , considering how bad he was and how turnover and foulprone .

I was still hoping for a Diop buyout...oh, wells.

I think Magloire and Dampier can be interchanged without any affect on the team. Their games a similar IMO, which means we can have 12 fouls for the same type player.

Lol. Do we believe that all-star Mags was waived from a team who badly needed a center? If Maggs cannot help Nets, he cannot help Mavs.

magloire a mav, great pickup

Post#13 » by thaAteam » Wed Feb 27, 2008 4:20 am

the mavs have signed magloire for the rest of the season which is a wonderful addition, for all of the haters who said the mavs gave up too much for kidd, magloire replaces diop, kidd replaces harris, the mavs got better no doubt, magloire will be great off the bench, still in prime, a low post game and a solid rebounder and defender, i think avery can get him back to double double form

magloire is a non factor. average third stringers don't mean anything.

How does Magloire replace Diop? Well, I guess the stone hands part fits. Although, Diop has better hands then Magloire does. Mags demands the ball in the post when he's in there and he's slow. He's a terrific rebounder though, that's it.

I don't think they really needed Magloire, and I really don't think he will be a factor, especially if he's playing behind Diop.

Magloire is a non-factor on a mediocre team that really could have used someone with his former abilities...however, I think that his presence will be useful to the Mavs, he will mainly be a smokescreen just like Diop was for them, even though Diop was far more capable...The Mavs are really a 4 on 5 team they only need a heartbeat in the middle...
