well, i really don't understand how this affects the Hawks going or not going to the playoffs..... actually with NJ out of the picture now, doesn't this increase the Hawks' chances?

I'm guessing his hope was for the Hawks to sign Magloire. He would be a nice player coming off of the bench, but no way he'd choose Atlanta with Dallas calling him.

As long as Woody is the coach....I'm pessemistic about the Hawks chance.

I want them to make the playoffs, but when you go 7-20 since going 15-12, I seriously doubt Woody's coaching ability to get us over the hump at this point.

Tomorrow and Friday's game are MUST WINS!

The Hawks have an easy schedule coming up. We went through two road trips on the west coast and have played all 3 games in the Texas Triangle. There are only 3 games left where I'd be shocked if the Hawks won(Boston twice and New Orleans). I don't think it's fair to judge the post-trade Hawks on what they did in a road trip in which we faced three elite teams. I'll be pretty pissed if the Hawks don't make the playoffs against this schedule after trading for Bibby.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
