Nets 4 and 5 Depth Chart:
Boone/Williams/Diop
Kristic/Swift/Nachbar

they have 6 guys who are all pretty decent do they really need a 7th big man that is a little worse than the rest of them? If I remember correctly he didnt get PT over Malik Allen so I expect that to not change, Mags will just be that backup 3rd Center, similar to Evan Eschmeyer  .

I'll take Hilton Armstrong as a better backup center than Magloire.

Magloire > Nothing

He was signed to a prorated vet min which the league will pay for partially.

Avery, a PG himself, sucks at coaching PGs, but brings out the best of no-name centers. If Magloire could be Magloire of last year (Portland), this would be an absolute steal.

2006-07 while sharing the load with Pryzbilla and Diop respectively

.....................Magloire.......Dampier
MPG................21.0.............25.2
PPG.................6.5...............7.1
RPG.................6.1...............7.4
BPG.................0.8...............1.1
APG.................0.4...............0.6
SPG.................0.3...............0.3
FG%................50.4.............62.6
FT%................54.1..............62.3
TO...................1.59.............1.41
PF....................2.80.............3.10

Both 6'11", 265 lbs

That's all we are asking. If the two can avg 46 MPG with those number, I'll be real happy. I mean, 13.6 PPG, 13.5 RPG, 1.9 BPG on 55+ shooting is fine with me from the 5th scoring position. And we have 12 fouls for Shaq, Duncan, the Nuggets' frontcourt and the Lakers' frontcourt.

I have been thinking about this signing, and I just thought of something "is there a worse all-star, in NBA history, then Magloire?" Seriously. Not only did he have, a pretty lackluster statline/impact the year he was an all-star, but he has been mediocre his entire career.

I really just cannot think of a worse all-star, in history.

I think people are really Underrating Mags. I believe he will get back to Allstar form in Dallas. He has a reason to put forth effort now.

People are silly.
No one's arguing Magloire sucks.
He just fills a void that Dallas has in the center position. Even if he averages 0 pts per game, the fact that he's a big body that can have 6 fouls will help.

Big fouling body >>>>>>>>> None at all.
At least now when Damp gets in foul trouble, there's someone who could take his place. People must have not noticed Dallas had only 1 center that's why everyone's like WTF magloireski sucks terrible move by the mavs.

MAgloire will be a nice addition.

WE can't replace Diop? WTF he could only block shots, and was an okay rebounder, could not score for anything.

Magloire might not be a good shot blocker but he does everything else better than Diop.
