Non Basketball Thoughts: Bucks/Cavs

Post#1 » by Andrew34r » Wed Feb 27, 2008 4:18 am

-The energy in the Bradley Center the past couple of games...specifically in the second half has been great. Of course the Bucks are giving the fans something to cheer about now but it is slowly getting louder at the Bradley Center which is a very good thing.

-Halftime was very disturbing. 2 guys who were wearing flesh colored pants and no shirts...ummm doing things to each other...very awkward. Maybe someone else can explain this a bit better.

-Herb was not there.

-I would estimate the crowd at maybe 13,000

-Cavs fans getting harassed in my section.

Thats all I got.

No need. I think we've heard enough.

I hope you were one of the people harassing them.

Of course but it almost backfired. Im always hesitant to harass the opposing fans because the Bucks can blow it at any time.

In a Bucks "potential future owner watch", I'd point out that Herbert Kohler was there in his courtside seat.....

And Kohler corp. now runs scorer's table banner ads with English and Chinese on them.....

Lebron's pool boy, Damon Jones, was cocking off to fans after he made a couple of 3's..what I wouldn't give for someone to drill that MF'er in the face.

Whats wrong with some swagger?

Damon Jones swagger and brashness is the main reason he is one of my all time favorite Bucks, the other reason was his knack for hitting big 3's.

there is nothing wrong with some swagger if you earn it...as far as I'm concerned, Damon Jones is an overpaid guard who sits around the three-point line and does whatever he can to draw attention to himself. I guess for me, he is a guy you love to hate, just like Sammy C...when he is on your team you find it funny and harmless, but when you are playing him you find it annoying and irritating.

I equate it similar to baseball walk-up music.

Every time Yi hits a shot, Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith is played. I can't recall the music of Mo, Redd, or any others. One song , I think, is about skying.

Trebek: This stereotypical music choice by the Bradley Center occurs when native Australian Andrew Bogut makes a basket.

why is a building filled with only 15,000 in the BC louder then a sold out arena in Cleveland?

Land Down Under is a classic. They play it seemingly after everything that involves an Australian doing anything.

Because it wasn't.

Exactly. It was loud but not nearly as loud as other arenas.

They go by Duo Design.
Although their act is homo-erotic, the strength and balance of those guys is incredible. Better than a small fry game or some of the other lame halftime entertainment.

I saw the Yi Shooting shirt giveaway in the crowd on kids on TV.
Those things looked god awful, I bet the (Please Use More Appropriate Word) Ron Walter designed those.

What did they look like? I never got a good look. Saw the whit T with YI and #9 on the front, but no a good enough look. I was thinking of asking my ticket guy to snag a couple for my sons. He snagged me some posters already for games we missed (YI and the All-Star poster). The posters were well done I thought.
