Post#1 » by kingkobe8 » Wed Feb 27, 2008 8:55 am

What do you think the chances are that sasha would receive votes for most improved and 6th man of the year. Sasha should be consider for these awards. What do you guys think.

6th man I could see him getting a few votes, but not exactly winning the award.

Also most improved, how many games are required to have been played? because I think that award should go to Andrew Bynum.

Who would win the award over Sasha as most improved?

Is there a stronger case?

6th man, I am sure there is better out there...but for MIP, I see Sasha having a good chance to win.

6th player of the year award will probably go to either Barbosa or Manu.

MIP - how about Bynum/Farmar before Sasha ?

Hedo Turkoglu will definitely get the MIP.

As far as 6th man, that'll probably go to Barbs or Terry if he ever goes back to the bench.(Doubtful)

But all these candidates are definitely more deserving than sasha and farmar. Sorry.

Hedo Turkoglu
Andrew Bynum
Chris Kaman
LaMarcus Aldridge
to name a few over Sasha for MIP

Manu Ginobili
Jason Terry
Travis Outlaw
Leandro Barbosa

If anyone else than Manu receives one first place vote for 6MOY, I'll lose any respect for the voters for that award. It's not even remotely close at the top IMO.

Most improved will be Hedo. Sixth man will be Ginobili. Sasha will get votes for neither.

No offense to Sasha as he has been very good for us this season, but he isn't even the most improved or best 6th man on our team. Most improved player on Lakers is either Bynum or Farmar; while Farmar is definitely our sixth man.

I don't think Bynum would win anything mostly due with his injury. Sasha would be runner up to worse hair cut with Mike Miller winning it again this year.

You're eligible to be voted for the award if you start more than 50% of your games off the bench.

Manu has started over 75% of his games from the bench and up up something like 21 5 5 on sick shooting.

There is no one even remotely close to beating him for this award right now IMO.

None and none. Hedo is mip man in a sweep, maybe Beno gets some votes.
6th man Barbosa and Manu are the only 6th man choices.
I think Sasha is not as good as Farmar so no way he wins the award.
If there was a all nba team for 6th man he gets on.
