I realize that..but he would be a New York regular, and a lot more popular with the people in the city..he would make more acquaintances for business living in NY than he would in Cleveland..he would get more incentives from endorsement companies if he lives in New York, as opposed to Cleveland..
Lebron isn't Michael Jordan..he isn't known by everyone..my dad, who is an immigrant from Lebanon, knows Michael Jordan..MJ could live anywhere any do this, because he revolutionized basketball..he brought a new aspect of basketball, and was the poster for the most popular shoe in history..
Lebron is still young and hasn't had these opportunities..he would in a big market, teaming up with other moguls in the city..

I can promise you that I know more about Economics than you. Again, would you like to explain to me how playing in NY would get him so much more money? Please explain it to me. Remember that he would need to make about 10-25 million extra just to break even. Also remember that there are no clauses in his current contracts that would pay him more if he goes to NY. That is against NBA rules.
The person saying that more articles will be written about him and he "might" get more media exposure are right, but that doesn't translate into more money. Think about why ESPN is in lowly Bristol and not NYC. Would ESPN be more popular if it moved its location to NYC? I doubt it. The same goes with LeBron. He already is established as a sports icon. I don't see how he could make so much more money if he moved to NY.
But can someone explain to me how the Nets will build a championship-contender in 3 years while also balancing the act of saving cap space for LeBron James? I think this is the biggest question because LeBron is not going to go to a re-building team.
But it's already proven that LeBron himself can lead a team to the finals, even with mediocre role players. Just see last season's playoffs.
The Nets are rebuilding right now. In 3 years? Probably not. They will have Devin Harris in his prime. Sean Williams will be better, Boone will be better, Richard Jefferson would still be there, VC might still be there (probably not), and with a couple of lottery picks, they will be a superstar away from being a legit championship contender.
Assuming they keep most of their youth:
PG: Harris
SG: Whoever (most likely a lottery draft pick)
SF: LeBron
PF: Sean Williams
C: Boone
That's a pretty good starting lineup.
Of course, this is just hypothetical.

I know what you're saying but he can aleady do those things. If he wants a business acquaintances he can call up just about anyone he wants. I can't picture someone on Wall Street being like "LeBron who? Maybe if he played for the Knicks we would work with him on a national level but cause he doesn't..." That's what people say about Luol Deng or Shawn Marion. Not LeBron James.

First, probably he would want to spend his off-days in his hometown with his boys, I'd think. Second, it's funny to hear LA called a 'real city'. I don't think alot of people consider it that at all. But that's a whole other argument.
Battling ridiculous homers one incredibly biased argument at a time.

definitely crazy, but that's Lebron..he's a flashy dude..
I don't see what that has to do with living in Cleveland though..he's a millionaire, so he wasted a lot of money on useless ****..that's what most millionaire athletes and music artists do..it's not like he won't get any money back when he sells the house..
he can build a bunch of those, and he won't go broke..
I hope he comes to NY though..the city deserves a player like James..I'm not a Knick fan, but I want to see them do well, and it won't happen for a while with the current management..I go watch the mediocre Knicks, even now, when the Spurs come to NY..same with the Nets when they play SA, although I like them more, since I'm a VC fan..but I would definitely go check out some more non-Spurs games with the Knicks or Nets involved if Lebron was in the picture..he's definitely going to draw even more people to the games..I used to hate him, but the more I watch him, the more I appreciate what he brings to the game..it would be great for EASILY the best player in the game to play for the best city in the country(no disrespect to Cleveland and their fans)..

New York is New York..the Yankees play in BX, but the city still supports them..****, look at the Jets and Giants..that point is insignificant..if the best player in the NBA comes to New York, the city will obviously take notice..
why haven't the nets drawn anything close to maximum capacity during their finals years? they had an exciting team with kidd, martin, and jefferson
just curious, i don't live in NY but it seems to me that no matter what jersey does they're never gonna be on the knicks level. i mean they averaged 75% attendance with barely over 15,000 during their best run.

I was more referring to the house being huge, but hope ur being sarcastic as i was before.
And I dont know about Lebron, but some people like not having to live in their home area all their lives (even though he probably travels as much as he stays home....still).
