Deal or No Deal : Cedric Simmons

Post#1 » by SD Willie » Wed Feb 27, 2008 8:23 am

Three teams inside of his second NBA season, now with the Bulls.

What is the overall feel on this guy, prospect or fodder?

06-07 15th overall pick 6'9 240 looks good on paper but he doesn't see many NBA minutes.

Depends on what the banker was offering.

He's shown as close to nothing as an NBA player can show, however he's never had any real playing time to show anything, either. He just turned 22 last month, so time is on his side. I'd hang on to him, and try to get him 10-15 minutes a game for the rest of the season to get an idea of what he could bring to the table.

His work ethic and desire has always been a question. He's the type to slightly sprain an ankle and sit out 1-2 months as a result.

I remember getting lambasted when the Hornets dumped him. Now does everyone see why no Hornets fans cared?

The 14'ers would probably be willing to give him a tryout, but there's no guarantee that he'd make the squad.

D-League starter with no NBA team affiliation (meaning his rights aren't owned by an NBA team).

I would have liked to have seen him stay with the Cavs for a year or 2

no deal...like i said then, he's not better than Craig Smith, and Craig didn't get drafted until the 2nd round, and he honestly could have gone late in the first...
