Yao out for the season & playoffs.
Stress fracture.
That helps relieve the loss of Diop a little. At least for one team. There is still the Spurs, Nuggets, Suns and Lakers.

I wasn't refering to one individual person. Bynum/Gasol/Turiaf & Melo/Martin/Camby all play inside games (though Melo has a good jumper as well). All get to the basket with easy (except maybe Camby who plays there anyways). Even if non man to man, we still need that big man patrolling the middle. No so much with the Warriors or Houston w/o Yao. You cna make a case for Boozer, West, Chandler, but I don't see them as a bigger need for big men in the middle.

The 36-year-old Brown played for Chicago last season before going into semi-retirement. He was also pursued by the Celtics last summer, but expressed a preference to remain near his home in Louisiana, though he ultimately didn
